I had mentioned yesterday that Image Comics What's Next is the first appearance of Rat Queens, especially interesting since the Tv announcement.
But what is more interesting is that it is that Image Comics What's Next is not just a preview of the first issue, but a stand alone story not published in the comic. Pretty good news for the folks who do not like preview books being counted as first appearances. If you are looking to get a peek at the stand-alone story, it can be read online for free.
Image Comics has the preview available as a free down load here. Granted, I like to hold a copy as opposed to reading one digitally, and I should have before I sold my copy a few weeks back. Hindsight, as they say, is 20/20.

It has a preview for Starlight, Shutter, The Fuse, Southern Bastards, Low, Stray Bullets, Outcast
I know this is off topic of ratqueens book but its semi related since it is also a preview book. Can I get your advice on this one Tony???
Completely different. But I would hold to see how well outcast does Sohern Bastards did well sales wise as well. Definitely worth holding for not.
