Can it be true? I played around on Hastings to see around how many books they had left and “ordered” 99 and it was about to let me check out. I emptied my cart in shock, is it possible out of 800 some still are in Hastings possession? Keep in mind the number 800 is only a number I’ve seen several times on eBay. I have no confirmation of it.

That is correct. They sold 132 copies on eBay when that went live. Hoping it goes live again.
Usually store variants are limited to 1000 copies unless this store is different they probably sold 200 copies to some1 else but look at spread #1 third eye variant its limited to 1000 or sheltered #1 and revival #19 same thing all limited to 1000 but I can be wrong

except Marvel books which are usually a 3k minimum order. Zenescope has a lower order threshold as well. It has been reported that the Hastings Variant has a print run of 800. Larry reported that the print run of the Enormous Phantom had a print run of 544 copies.

I got an email overnight from Hastings saying 3 of my 6 copies had shipped and that 3 were canceled. I ordered my copies on July 4th. Upset that they canceled half my order, but I guess I should be happy that I’m getting a few copies.
They crappy thing is they relisted them afterwards
Thanks for the info. I ordered 2 and it said it went through hope it really ships. I went to a few lcbs like friendly neighborhood comics and a few new england comics and they didnt even get any phantoms and had no regulars in stock. I hope larry will have a few at the boston comic con next month because I want one of each cover. I really liked the whole kaiju feel to it and hope it gets more readers.

Screw Hastings I will never shop there again, I ordered a single copy right when they went live and just got an email saying my order was cancelled because the item is out of stock. I know someone that ordered 20 hours after me and he is getting all his. BS

Wow. I have never had good luck w Hastings and it continues. I ordered when they went live and again when I read this post and Hastings just cancelled both orders. Just as well, the only order I’ve ever received from them was bent up and sent back. Forget ever trying w them again. Oh well, on to other books…
What’s even funnier is that as of 12:30 pm central time on 7/9, you can still order them even tho my order has been cancelled because of no stock. Face, meet palm. Great company!
Sucks so many are having issues. I received the two I ordered yesterday. I ordered mine probably a few hours after they went live on their site. They came in perfect shape too, although if they weren’t so thick for this issue, they could have easily been damaged in transit.
I wouldn’t knock the whole company though because someone can’t populate a total quantity in their database so the website knows when to stop allowing people to order them when the order amount reaches the quantity amount they have.
Just got the inevitable email from Hastings..order cancelled..out of stock,. Ordered 3 and paid,now have to wait for refund..grrrrrr!!
I feel your pain same crap happened to me. This is a way to get a bad name for there company. I doubt ill ever order from them again. Ordered 2 got confirmed and charged then got a follow up email today saying id been charged but it was out of stock.
