I want to take a quick second to thank everyone who visits the site. Last month, the site hit another record for visitors and the site continues to grow. We were well over 100,000 hits for the month, and I am in awe that the little site I started a little over a year ago has grown so big, over 800,00 hits in the past year.
I need to thank everyone who contributes to the site:
Terry Hoknes of www.hoknescomics.com, was my first contributor, who provides a ton of spec content and is a stand up guy
Larry Doherty of www.larryscomics.net, for the picks of the week, has been a huge supporter of the site, and helped me move it into a bigger direction.
Lubber Clang, of Spec This!, did great videos and will always have a place on the site when he returns to producing videos.
Zip, one of the new guys on the block. Getting his feet wet in comic book spec writing and is doing a fantastic job.
Patrick Hood, my man from Google+ CBSI (and from CHU too) for his awesome Top 10 Comic specs of the week. Patrick also does an updated list of spec books to be on the lookout for that is available for CBSI members. I use this list and it has helped keep me organized digging through bins. Found a ton of books on his list.
A big shout out to all who email me to chat, talk about comics, and provide tips. It is never a bother to talk and provides me a much needed break at times from my day job.
Trey and all the guys at The Google Plus Comic Book Speculation and Investment Community. Great group of guys, great spec, join up and don’t be a lurker!
Finally, some personal shout outs:
Drew Bentley- for sending me a copy of Spread #1 regular cover, in nuclear proof packaging, because all mine were signed and sent to readers, but also for being the main man on the comment section who helps facilitate and keep conversations going.
Kyle Lentz- My man at SDCC who was awesome enough to pick up variants for me (Walking Dead, Manifest Destiny, Afterlife with Archie, Low, and comping me a copy of his LCS’ variant of low) not only did he pick up the variants, he had Kirkman sign the Walking Dead Variant and the Manifest Destiny team sign theirs for me. Above and beyond brother.
Tyson Briscoe- sent me a Dark Engine #1 signed book. Went out of his way to do this for me. I never expect stuff like this and am greatly surprised that people are so generous.
Finally, everyone who orders signed comics from us (especially Shima who orders everything). Your faith in me to pull these events off is greatly appreciated. Sure, there have been a few hiccups, it happens, but everyone has been very understanding.
You guys are all the reasons I do this, and without you all, everyone listed above, and everyone not listed, this site would be nothing without you.
Cheers and happy spec-ing
Anthony

No, thank you! I’ve had so many good picks because of CHU π
I go on vacation and almost miss a shout out to me π
And yes, when I ship my comics, they will survive a nuclear blast, they will even out survive cockroaches…. π
Welcome back from vacation. I away for the weekend with very spotty internet connection.
I’m actually still on vacation until Sunday with really poor Internet but then again, I like to avoid all electronics if I can while on vacation. π
I understand but still want to do updates on the site.
Yeah, I deal with technology for my profession so I like checking out during my actual vacations from everything else, obviously I can’t stay totally away… π
