Rat Queens #6: A comic heating up

Here is a hunt and find item. Rat Queens has been uber popular, especially after the TV show announcement. Early issues are going for decent money.

Sure, but the early issues can be hard to find. Rat Queens #6, however, may still be sitting on your store shelves and can be a decent flip for 4-5x cover price. What makes Rat Queens #6 so special? It is the first issue after the trade paperback of the first story line. While the TV show news brought speculators on for early issues, the tpb brought readers on to this fun and well written story. Also, there has been an uptick in female cosplayers dressing up as the characters, since all the main characters are female, it sells to the up and coming new demographic of fanboys who are girls.
Check your store shelves, Rat Queens #6 is selling anywhere from $7.50 to $26 dollars in recently closed auctions, priced right, or paired with issue #7, and you could flip for decent cash.

  1. You always give great info! I know my LCS has a TON of back issues of this series. heading there tomorrow to get them. Still sitting on my 20 (no seriously, 20) copies of Outcast #1 until the show comes on. I think Kirkman’s name alone will make that issue raise up SIGNIFICANTLY.

      1. It’s all good. I have 21 issues and a signed copy by Azaceta j am waiting on as well. I’ve already sold 40 at 9.99-10.99 so these are already paid for too.

    1. Spread might be the most perfect title ever for a comic as it seems that is what EVERY life form seems to do. SPREAD

  2. I’ve been looking for one for the last two weeks and I can’t find a VF or NM copy anywhere for under $20, quite frustrating.

  3. I tell ya what. Rat queens as a whole is very tough to find anywhere. I drive a ton for work so I hit up every store within a three hour radius in socal and can’t find any. Very tough to find for sure.

  4. I’m telling you, go to comic shops in rural areas where people aren’t as hip to indy comics. These image books will be on the shelves. I found rat queens (#2 B and #6 gatefold), southern bastards #1, V-wars #1, spread #1 all on the shelves for cover price 2 weeks ago.

      1. Do it! I drove 50 miles outside of Denver to meet a friend and hangout. Went to a couple of shops, talked to one of the owners, and all people read are Marvel and DC.

    1. Green Arrow and Hawkeye are two of my favorite books…right until the creators got/are going to get kicked off them.

      1. I’ll take all your Hawkeye’s. Its ending because Fraction/Aja can’t put out a book every month. too bad, becuase that was Marvel’s best comic book.

    2. I still read mostly Marvel, particularly Avengers because I love Hickman. I read Thor because of Aaron. The only DC stuff I read is Batman, except some of the Doomsday storyline because I love Doomsday.
