We mentioned Face Value #1 here back on 8/27/14. The story features an autistic hero, a first in comics. The book sold out quickly as it had a low print run and ended up on NBC news. Reports from some shops stated that they were shorted by Diamond and did not receive any of the copies that they ordered.
There are copies out there starting at reasonable prices. This copy of Face Value #1 started low an is currently at $1.54 an is for the self-distributed copies (with a slightly different story and features a $5 cover price.) Here is Another Copy

Our friend Brock at Minty-Man-Cave-Comics, recently sold a copy that ende for $56. The record price for one went to this copy
which closed for $80.

Is this a book to hold onto or flip? I currently have 1 copy with the ability to get 1 more at cover price.
If you have two, flip one now, keep one. I think this is the type that will start to sizzle off.
Sell sell sell! I honestly did not see this coming. I just dropped the intel to support awareness to a good cause.
I would secure one more and sell one. I don’t think it will be this big forever but you can never predict the future

I was able to get ahold of 5 copies from my LCS! Sold each around $40.00. Huge profit!

Just got two copies for free. Seriously. There are no prices on the cover. Guy said they must be promos so just take them
Hah nice.. My local guy sold me one for 3.99 then I sold that on eBay for 30 so I called them and he had another on the shelf. I grabbed it and it was a new guy at the counter and was confused about the price. I told him I paid 3.99 the other day for it. Couldnt bring myself to rip off my local guy especially since I was going to make at least 5times that.. Sold that on for 20..not a bad few days of flipping. Can’t thank this site enough for the info!!
I tried to tell the guy but he said and I quote I don’t care. At which point I said ok cool and left.
Yeah My LCS had a total of 8 Fave value comics. I bought 2 at a time so that i wasn’t that guy buying all of them, just every time I went in they were still there so i would buy 2 more. So I ended up buying all 8. Sold 3 for $40.00 each, 3 for $25.00 each, and 2 for $15.00 each.
