Thanks to Drew B. for this one.
The Walking Dead TV show has driven prices up on the related comics. With the start of the current season putting the cast on the road again, especially with the Eugene story line driving the survivors, it is time to look at back issues again.
The Walking Dead #69 is worth looking at. With the show having the group head towards DC most likely in this season, seems The Walking Dead #69 is picking up some steam as it’s the first appearance of them arriving at Alexandria and it’s the first appearance of Heath.
I was checking out auctions and seems these are starting to hit close
to the $50 mark, up from around $15-$20 just a month or two ago.

Also just to mention, issue 67 is the issue they learn that Eugene is lying about knowing how to cure the zombies thing, that he’s just a science teacher. I can sense we might learn of this truth this season since they were sort of grilling him in the train car before breaking out.
Usually first appearances result with higher demand but I think since the Walking Dead ties itself to the comics for the most part, these end up being key issues for the most part.
awesome tip! look like the hunters story line is being featured as well
Thats going up tonight. It is written up and scheduled for 8 pm.
Yeah, the Terminus was TV show only but now they’ve thrown those guys directly into the Fear the Hunters story arc, which is awesome. So many lines stolen directly from the comics last night.
the whole end of the episode could’ve been the comics, with Bob substituting for Dale.
Yup. Poor Bob, Dale went out a better way in Season 2 instead of going out how he did in the comics and how Bob is gonna end up going out.
Father Gabriel had some direct lines too straight from the comics, just a different way of them meeting. In the comic he approaches them instead of them saving him from walkers.
WALKING DEAD 63 issue where the leg gets eaten
I covered the Fear the Hunters story line as well due to the tv show
