Negan Lives #1 is in stores Wednesday. It brings the fan favorite character, Negan, and the world of Walking Dead back to comics. The issue is also fully paid for, including shipping to shops, by Robert Kirkman, and sent free to stores, all profits go to the comic shops. Check out the spoilers below.
It’s a one shot comic to detail what Negan’s been doing since he was cast out from the groups he tormented and also saved.
It’s that time again, where I tell you what’s really grinding my gears for the week of February 13th, 2019.
Some weeks it’s mostly likes, other weeks it’s dislikes.
So what’s grinding my gears this week?

Welcome back to another edition of things I like and don’t like. I try to keep this relevant to the week in question in regards to comics and other things related to comics, you know, movies, TV shows but sometimes I might stray.

Thanks to Uncle Willie for making a comment to bring this to our attention and I believe Collider was one of the first to report this news, but Andrew Lincoln is apparently departing The Walking Dead after next season, which is the 9th season of the hit AMC series based on Robert Kirkman and Tony Moore’s comic series from Image Comics.

It’s new comic book day! The best damn day every week. The day of the week we drop everything else that’s important to go pick up what we think is going to be a great read or a great flip so we can buy more things to read or flip. It’s the never ending cycle of life for the comic book enthusiast comic flipper.

Here’s a little treat I hope everyone enjoys. I managed to catch the second half of Francesco Francavilla finishing the commission piece I asked of him at Mondocon 2017.

Halloween has arrived and so has new comic Wednesday. For me, this is really another uneventful week for new books. There might be a few surprise spec’s or winners but for the most part, even if there are, I don’t expect them to last long.
This week is so boring, I don’t really see a reason to even rush out to my shop when it opens like I usually do to score some cover price variants.

Back in August, we mentioned a casting call that went out and asked the question if Alpha was coming soon to The Walking Dead TV show. You can see the full post here to read up on the gory details. New details have come to light that show the Whisperers could be coming to The Walking Dead this month and Alpha (could Beta be far behind) are coming to The Walking Dead TV show in February. We have mentioned this several times but Ezekiel and the Kingdom will be coming to Walking Dead Season 7. Here is a little more proof. Continue reading “More hints that Ezekiel is coming to Season 7 of the Walking Dead”
THis is going to sound a bit repetitive since we just talked about it on April 5th, but now we have confirmation Ezekiel and his tiger, Shiva, will be coming to The Walking Dead in Season 7. You thought Negan was going to be a game changer, but wait until non-comic readers see Ezekiel and Shiva on-screen. Continue reading “Ezekiel and His Tiger Coming to Season 7 Confirmation”
Negan. Sure, there will be a lot of talk about that, and we will get to it in a minute, but Ezekiel and the Kingdom is what we are going to focus on first. Sunday night’s The Walking Dead Season Finale had a lot of good imagery that fans should be excited about. For me, the one that made me very happy was the scene with the two guys in body armor, previously shown here running into Morgan. Continue reading “The Walking Dead Effect: Walking Dead 100 and 108”
I wasn’t the only person who noticed the person with the combat gear on last night’s The Walking Dead. Comicbook.com noticed it too. And we drew the same conclusions Continue reading “The Walking Dead Effect: Will the Kingdom be introduced on the show?”
Tonight’s episode, “Twice As Far” was a doozie. This is mostly spoiler free minus the next sentence. It reintroduced Dwight, more in lines with the comic, and has a burned face. Continue reading “The Walking Dead Effect: Walking Dead #98”
Thanks to Agent Poyo for the write up.
We all know the show is helping the Walking Dead comics heat up as places and people show up. Now that we know Negan is coming to the show along with Jesus making his appearance in last weeks episode, we know the Hilltop is coming and probably a whole slew of new characters and likely storylines directly from the comics.

We know Negan is coming, we know he is going to smash heads on his arrival, we just do not know who. Here are some theories and take the poll. Continue reading “Walking Dead Season 6 Death Poll”
Here is a fun one, if you have a few extra dollars. Tony Moore used to be the artist on The Walking Dead. More recently he has been doing work on Marvel’s Deadpool. Image is starting a new magazine, similar to Marvel Previews, that will each contain a 4 page story from high profile collectors. The first 12 issues will feature a The Walking Dead story, an exclusive story. One of which will feature the origin on Negan. The book should only run you $1.99, cheap by today’s standard, but expensive when you think of cost per comic page. But what you get sounds awesome.

If you have not watched last nights The Walking Dead (Season 6 Episode 9) Mid Season Premier do not read on as there are some spoilers. Also, you missed out on one hell of an episode. But more importantly, do not read on. Continue reading “The Walking Dead Effect: Walking Dead #83”
