Looks like the live action version of the comic book Officer Downe is getting closer to realization. The Hollywood Reporter has reported that Life Out Loud Films is financing the picture.
If/when the movie is made it could garner a lot of attention.
Slipknot co-founder and drummer M. Shawn Crahan will direct the movie about a one-of-a-kind police officer who can’t be stopped by death, returning to the streets time and time again. Crahan, who has directed many of the heavy-metal band’s music videos, comes with plenty of fans: Slipknot has garnered more than 250 million views on YouTube.
Good luck finding a copy of the book though, quick scans of several on-line shops and eBay turned up nothing in the way of the original comic.
I remember this being difficult to find when it came out. To ebay it goes now….even though it is a fun comic.
It’s been years since an announcement has made me this aroused.
