Thanks to DrunkWooky for doing this while I was on the road.

The Action Figure covers still remain popular. The Star Wars Action figure covers especially. Here is one that should blow the roof off things. A black and white Boba Fett Action Figure Variant.

After the madness that was John Tyler Christopher’s exclusive C2E2 Star Wars #4 Boba Fett Action Figure cover, this should be equally as crazy. As you might recall, the first color Boba Fett cover sold out at preorder online within 24 hours. That book had 5000 copies. This Black and White variant of Star Wars #7 will only have 3000 copies printed.

Pre-sale goes live July 24th at midnight EST on John Tyler Christopher’s Website

  1. This is gonna be one hot book, can’t wait to see how quick they sell out after release. I’m gonna say within a couple of hours this time, considering the lower print number and everyone has a 1 week notice as opposed to no notice last time.

    1. The secret you are referring to is not the information contained here in this post. If you know about what to keep secret, then you are lucky—as am I. The information in this post is all from JTC’s public post on his blog.

      Now, shhhhhhhhhh! Hahaha.

      1. I got the email too, made me happy considering these will be very hard to get. I’ll be keeping it secret too since Jen & Christopher were so good to me last time so i’ll want to respect their request.

  2. So, how is a book that is printed months after distribution not considered a separate printing? Or is it?

    1. The color one was issue #4, this is #7 so it would be a 1st printing then.
I only ordered 2 of the 1st batch, both came back 9.8 from CGC. Wish I’d gotten 10 or 20 now

  3. Great now I have to stay up til midnight Thursday night to get some of these then get up at 5am to go to work, because I know they will be gone by the time I get off.

    1. Maybe the only way it would be over-saturated is when there are too many qty’s of each variant?.. I think more limited qty variants gives us more opportunities to flip some books at a high profit, the ‘Luke C2E2’ variant was another excellent chance to do that ( and the colour Fett variant ). Each exclusive variant has good money potential, more the better in my opinion 🙂

  4. I thought the Luke B & W looked like a coloring book so I didn’t buy one. I think the Boba Fett B & W also looks like a coloring book but I’m getting one graded. What a comic book collecting hypocrite I am! 🙂

    1. I agree with you in that I usually only try to get variants that I actually like the look of. I loved the color Boba Fett. I can see where you think the Luke and this Boba B&W look like coloring books. I have to say that I don’t like this cover as much as the color #4. However, this is objectively going to be a big seller. I can’t ignore the fact that people are going to want this.

      1. I remember seeing the Luke B&W for sale loads of times and totally ignored it due to not liking it, even seen 4 of em in one ‘buy it now’ listing for $70 each ( they sold out instantly ). After seeing it enough times I started actually liking the look of it so decided to search for one, and it sold slabbed for $600 and I ain’t seen another one since, really gutted now I didn’t just snap those 4 copies up! 🙁

  5. Great, it’s up on bleeding cool now. Cats out of the bag I guess. Alarm reminder set for 11:55!
Pre-orders are on ebay at around $100 bucks already!

  6. Seriously? 15 minutes??? What a freaking joke!.. But, hey at least the dealers get to sell these upwards of $100 each. Nice payday there. I am officially done with these figure variants and this artist. I could see a limit of two or three per customer but what did he allow? 25!?!? Those are dealer numbers right there! 25 of each with a print run of only 3000? If he wants to cator to dealers fine. I will just stop buying his work. DONE (hands washed, moves along)
