I survived the beach vacation without losing any limbs or getting bitten. Even avoided the blue crabs we were catching from pinching me. I caught one lousy fish too, first cast even.. what a tease those fish were in not grabbing the hook after seeing their friend get caught! I threw him back, what were they afraid of?
Anyways, on with the picks.. this week is way more exciting than last week so I didn’t miss much… so here goes..
Young Terrorists #1 (Black Mask) – Black Mask is not to be overlooked right now. Still hitting them out of the ball park with new issues and new releases. This one has a bigger cover price but it’s thick, almost like a trade paper back.
Hip Hop Family Tree #1 (Fantagraphics) – Popular New York Times bestseller and popular FCBD issues is now ongoing monthly comic. Don’t miss this one, could be a nice flip now or even later. Expect low print runs as well so when the demand hits, low print runs help the value.
Guardians of Knowhere #3 Manga Variant (Marvel) – Be sure to pick up this sick looking Venom Manga Variant. With Venom fans out there, this one will be hard to find once they’re gone off the shelves. My guess is most will grab a copy to keep for the personal collection, so grab 2 or more if you can, could be a nice flip I’m hoping (I haven’t seen Mel’s variant pick of the week but I have a feeling this one is on his radar).
Strain The Night Eternal #12 (Dark Horse) – The final showdown. I don’t know about you but I’m still digging the show and comic so knowing how this all ends has been on my mind since picking it up originally.
Other mentions.. Rat Queens is finally back with issue #11. Manifest Destiny is also back after a short hiatus with issue #16. Me so happy!
What did you catch? I took my kids out to shelter island this pass weekend and we just cough some mackerel and some small albacore tuna. Also got something big but my line snapped. So that sucked lol. But I am glad you enjoyed yourself. A vication is always good.
It was just a bait fish.. can’t even recall what it was to be honest. I wish I had caught more blue crabs though.. enough to make a decent meal. But it was fun just catching and releasing them for sure.
Lol sounds like you had a blast.. that’s what I have my kids doing when we go fishing. Catch some rock crabs and use them as bait. But I heard that blue crabs are good to eat never had them myself lol
Yeah, I disconnect from the rest of the world most of the time and leave all my worries back at home when I vacation. I don’t let anything stress me out and just go with the flow.
