Variant Envy: Chew #1 Retailer Exclusive Board Game Edition

This one will be hard to find. Stores had to order 5 copies of the board game to get 1 copy.

What adds to the sweetness of the book is it is double signed. Yup, right there at the bottom is John Layman and Rob Guillory’s signature.

Like I mentioned, retailers got 1 copy for ordering five or more copies. This is different than the copy that came with the board game. Those do not have a Chog on the bottom and do not have the signed part in white. There is only one copy of the Chew #1 Retailer Exclusive Board Game Variant One has sold for $81 already. (looks like an international one just popped up on ebay as well.)

Happy hunting. Try local game shops to see if they got the game in and ask them if they got the exclusive comic as well. Not sure how many comic shops would order 5 copies of the game.

      1. Well, if I had 2, I would sell one. But I’m holding onto this until either: the market dries up or a big media deal happens.

I’m really just glad I found it, out of dumb luck. I had no idea it existed. ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. So does the signed copy come inside the game or is it exclusive outside the box? If it’s inside how do you tell if your version has a signed one? Does anybody have any details? Thanks

  2. Man I am iritates right now so they just called me back and said they made a mistake on the price and quote me 70. I said u can keep it. Big BS. I was stoked now I am P#@$รท!. I bet u they saw the prices on ebay and changed there mind on the price

  3. Yeah I’ve been doing business with them for years and I told them that’s ur mistake not mine. You quoted me a price and I think u should honor it. So they didn’t and I pulled my my list from them. So gotta find a new comic shop lol

    1. It’s a tough call. It is selling for $75 with a few copies sold now so based on that $65 isn’t bad. I just have a feeling this book might shoot up some more. But people keep listing them at $75 as opposed to pushing the price higher. The floor has been established with support at the $75 level but a ceiling hasn’t been established yet.

Or placed in an overseas prostitution ring. I keep hoping it happens to me and I am sent to Sweden.”

I dunno about that, those Swedish dudes are pretty burly guys, you think you can handle all that?

        1. I am a bear by most standards I have been told. Lol. Also, never Google bear around your kids. Even if you need a picture of a bear for their school. It doesn’t turn out well.

  5. Yeah I did some calculations and in the bast 2 months alone, I have wasted about 3k on books and AF and kids books. I already looked into another store and they are happy to take my business lol

    1. Feel free to waste some more money on my addiction… mines just a bump compared to that price tag you mentioned.. ๐Ÿ˜‰

    2. And for the low low price of $499, I can enroll you into the Agent Poyo’s Comic Book Addiction Anonymous club where we tell you all about your problems of buying so many comic books and really do nothing to stop you from spending more money on them.
