One To Watch: Star Wars Tag and Bink Episode 1 Revenge of the Clones

We are just days away from Star Wars The Force Awakens hits theaters. One popular theory going around is Darth Plagueis, Darth Sidious’ (aka Emperor Palpatine) Sith Master. Well, rumors doing what they do, has caused some heat for a comic book where he first appears.

Darth Plagueis is said to be very powerful. In fact Emperor Palpatine (back when he was a senator) even said this about him, “Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith so powerful and so wise, he could use the Force to influence the midi-chlorians to create life. He had such a knowledge of the dark side, he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying.”

Plagueis first appears in Star Wars Tag and Bink Episode I Revenge of the Clone Menace #2, a great and funny read, as all of the Tag and Bink books are. Copies of Plagueis’ first appearance have been drying up quickly and are now being listed for $24.99 in NM. We will find out on Friday how the theory turns out. In the mean time, check this video out which explains the rumor.

Thanks to Beck P. for the reminder on this one.

  1. If this pans out, everybody is welcome. Lol! I leaked this an hour after the Hollywood screening. But be aware, it’s NOT conformed in ep. 7 that Snook is Plagueis. That may come in ep. 8.

      1. No, but I was given the full run down right after the screening, posted the spoilers in a couple tight knit groups, and then it found its way to reddit 5 or 6 hours later.

  2. It’s a very intriguing & interesting theory. Another one iv’e always had is Plagueis actually created Anakin purposely to give to Palpatine to help create the empire, which is why Palpatine befriended him from the start as that was the plan. And just like was said in Ep 1. there was no father and he could have been conceived by the force. And having more midichlorians than Yoda, being created by Plagueis using the force is the only possibility I can think of.

      1. Exactly, and when Anakin’s mother says there was no father. It just seems like there’s no other way it could be explained really.
