It’s the mark of another year around the sun, so let’s hope 2016 brings us more joy with more great comics.
The DC/Vertigo Pick goes to:
Unfollow #3 (Vertigo) – It’s a great read and has movie/show vibe all over it.
The Marvel Pick is the same as my last one since Marvel shipped out a bunch of comics they didn’t intend to sell last week (but ended up selling them anyway):
Obi-Wan and Anakin #1 (Marvel) – It’s a Star Wars #1. I know a lot of people dislike the younger Anakin since what’s his face ruined it in episodes II and III but remember, this also has Obi-Wan and he’s still cool. Can’t go wrong with Soule’s writing either.
The Indie Pick goes to:
Straightjacket #3 (Amigo) – Already sold out online at most retailers. It’s hard to find, low print runs but nonetheless an interesting read if your into horror set int psychiatric hospitals.
The Image pick:
Paper Girls #4 (Image) – So much mystery still with this story, it’s awesome. BKV never lets us down..
That’s all I got this week. What are you picking up or spec’ing on?

Where’s your Howard the Duck Gwenpool variant pick?!?
Pffttt.. I left that up to Mel 😉
I did send and update to Tony though but he forgot to add my Swamp Thing #1 pick under DC/Vertigo.
Haven’t forgotten. I have two very dirty times in the bath at the moment. Site update, dinner, bath, site update in that order. Lol.

CHU comes first Tony.. family comes last on CHU Tuesday Updates Night! 😛
I try to tell my wife that all the time. We have to go away for a few days so we won’t see the kids until Saturday after tonight.
Isn’t that a good thing from time to time? That’s when you get the best sleep, when the kids are gone for a day or two. 🙂
We will be gone. Running out for a weekend trip in the middle of the week.
Nice
lol. Kids are rough on collectors. I feel your pain Tony. “Hey little man! put that back in the box. Don’t open that comic!”
Oh my kids know. There are two things you don’t mess with, dad’s comics or toys. They were raised right. lol
My kids know not to touch my comics as well.
I have to lock my stuff up. My 5 yr old knows better. But my 1 year old thinks it’s his. I keep telling him he has to wait until I die but he’s not comprehending that discussion haha
lol. That is horrible. My 2 year old will start walking towards my stuff and say “that’s daddy’s” and change direction.

I need to take pointers from you two on keeping them to respect them. I just keep them locked away. Maybe I can rig the sound of a shotgun cocking anytime one of the boxes is opened…
Well, my kids are now 7 and 10 so it’s easier. Plus I buy them comics so they got their own to destroy.
I buy mine comics as well, mine are 5 1/2 and 2 1/2. (They both insist on the 1/2). Teach them early is the only thing I can say b
lol 1st appearance of well drawn Rob Liefield Feet
If you like little projects you should check out Howtoons. The TOB is pretty cool. Kids making things to solve situations. Educational, interactive and tons of fun. I donated one to the school I work at and the kids love it.
Why didn’t I jump on Straight Jacket? I gotta find the first issue. Love the horror stuff. LOVE IT
It is a great read. If I had an extra copy…
Well it’s horror related and you guys say it’s good so I’m just going to grab it on the bay.
I only have an extra copy of #2 myself.
Nicc T I have two Straitjacket if you’re looking. A little dinged up but readable.
Definitely. We could do trade or something. Tony has my email if you want to get in touch with me
I still don’t know what to think of Paper Girls.I love it, but it certainly is mysterious.
That’s why I’m loving it.. it’s like, every issue just brings out more mystery.. which makes it great in my opinion.
It definitely keeps getting more and more weird. Good, but weird.
