Agent Poyo's Picks of the Week for 1/6/16

It’s the mark of another year around the sun, so let’s hope 2016 brings us more joy with more great comics.
The DC/Vertigo Pick goes to:
Unfollow #3 (Vertigo) – It’s a great read and has movie/show vibe all over it.
The Marvel Pick is the same as my last one since Marvel shipped out a bunch of comics they didn’t intend to sell last week (but ended up selling them anyway):
Obi-Wan and Anakin #1 (Marvel) – It’s a Star Wars #1. I know a lot of people dislike the younger Anakin since what’s his face ruined it in episodes II and III but remember, this also has Obi-Wan and he’s still cool. Can’t go wrong with Soule’s writing either.
The Indie Pick goes to:
Straightjacket #3 (Amigo) – Already sold out online at most retailers. It’s hard to find, low print runs but nonetheless an interesting read if your into horror set int psychiatric hospitals.
The Image pick:
Paper Girls #4 (Image) – So much mystery still with this story, it’s awesome. BKV never lets us down..
That’s all I got this week. What are you picking up or spec’ing on?

    1. Pffttt.. I left that up to Mel 😉
I did send and update to Tony though but he forgot to add my Swamp Thing #1 pick under DC/Vertigo.

            1. Isn’t that a good thing from time to time? That’s when you get the best sleep, when the kids are gone for a day or two. 🙂

      1. I have to lock my stuff up. My 5 yr old knows better. But my 1 year old thinks it’s his. I keep telling him he has to wait until I die but he’s not comprehending that discussion haha

      2. I need to take pointers from you two on keeping them to respect them. I just keep them locked away. Maybe I can rig the sound of a shotgun cocking anytime one of the boxes is opened…

        1. Well, my kids are now 7 and 10 so it’s easier. Plus I buy them comics so they got their own to destroy.

      3. If you like little projects you should check out Howtoons. The TOB is pretty cool. Kids making things to solve situations. Educational, interactive and tons of fun. I donated one to the school I work at and the kids love it.

    1. That’s why I’m loving it.. it’s like, every issue just brings out more mystery.. which makes it great in my opinion.
