  1. My definite pickups are:
    Batman Europa #4 – I’m digging it..
    Detective Comics #49 – I’m not too happy with this series but I’m a big Batman fan so probably going after the Neal Adams variant.
    Unfollow #4 – A great read and is setting itself up to only get better.
    Nailbiter #20 – A great read, still loving it.
    Paper Girls #5 – Duh
    Velvet #13 – Duh, it’s Brubaker
    Walking Dead #151 – Duh
    ASM #7 – Long time ASM fan.. but this new arc just hasn’t been the same for me.
    Cap America Sam W #6 – I like it so far..
    Doctor Strange #5 – One of Marvel’s current best reads I think.
    Iron Man #6 – Has not been too bad but it is Bendis, I hope he doesn’t get all soft and gooey with the soap opera crap he likes to pull..
    Obi Wan Anakin #2 – Haven’t read but a must for any Star Wars fan.
    Rocket Groot #2 – Haven’t read but some of my favorites from the Guardians gang.
    Scarlet Witch #3 – Still haven’t read but seems promising from what I’ve skimmed.
    Spider-Man #1 – It’s a #1, with Miles Morales, has his own following.
    Spidey #3 – I’ve been totally digging the cover art for these, especially #2 and now #3
    Uncanny Avengers #5 – Just started reading these, not sure how I feel about them yet.
    Uncanny X-Men #3 – Haven’t read, only picking up to give X-Men another go.. since Bendis ruined it for me with All New X-Men in the last volume.
    Klaus #3 – A great read, wish it came out sooner to be more around the holidays.
    X-O Manowar #44 – Teaming up with Ninjak to take out some Vine aliens leading up to Commander Trill.. still one of my favorite Valiant characters.

  2. Batman Europa 4 1:25 Variant – Check out the covers listed on ebay. Joker’s face looks alot more sinister on the real cover than the picture that is going around. They significantly changed the ink.

    Nail biter 20. This comic is so good. Why is issue 1 so cheap?
    Pre ordering some MMPR 0 2nd prints.
    going searching for more Vampirella issues as well.

  4. Lol to Vampirella my pick ups this week……..
    Vampirella #1 1969 this has been on my radar for years, finally the eBay gods dropped one in a f/vf range for a decent price in my lap. Besides being Vampi’s 1st appearance this book has even more to offer. This book is a genre introducing book( much like super mans 1st appearance is to superhero books, spawning generations of masked and caped crusaders.) Vampirella brought upon the big breasted barely dressed women of comics for generations to come. You could say Vampirella #1 is responsible for making female comic characters sexy you could even go as far as saying Vampirella is responsible for changing female Halloween costumes from the norm to sexy over the last 40years. This book is starting to get the respect it deserves price wise.
    Tales to Astonish #49 1st giantman Antman becomes Giantman. This too has been on my radar for over a year. Had to pick it up now before it gets to pricey as the book has hit a heat wave due to some Funko Pop speculation. I guess there’s a giantman in the civil war pops making people speculate Antman uses the giantman suit in upcoming civil war movie. Last time there was Funko pop speculation it was grey hulk in avengers 2. Didn’t happen caused a heat wave for the grey hulk books. So I wouldn’t look to far into the civil war speculation but still a must for my collection as giant and 1st appearance.
    Avenging Spider-Man #9. Some other speculating sites have been heating this book of late, 1st Carol Danvers as New Captain Marvel. I have every key Ms Marvel Captain Marvel book I never found this as a must have. To me Ms Marvel and Captain Marvel may as well be the same thing, so having Carol Danvers 1st as Ms Marvel would be the book you would want, but found this stupid cheap double signed NM free shipping $13.50 so couldn’t pass on picking it up as its selling for double or triple that.
    Thor #133. Ego the Living Planet 1st full and cover. Mentioned last week that it’s rumored Ego is the villain in Guardians otg2. I picked up Thor #132 last week which is 1st ego cameo and thanks to all the helpful people here and their vast comic book knowledge picked this up after finding out this would be the first full appearance. Found a f-/vg+ for .99 +3.00 shipping
    Thunderbolts #1 Hastings variant Amazing cover with venom hulk, venom Deadpool, venom everybody. Love it
    Avengers Arena #1 Perkins variant My daughter loves Deathlocket from the Lego Avengers game. This is her 1st appearance and the variant has her on the cover. Lego Avengers has a lot of not so known heroes gives me some new 1st appearances to hunt down.
    Marvel super heroes #18 First appearance of Guardians of the Galaxy. Got a good deal on this and this book isn’t going to be cheap forever. This book will soon get the respect it deserves, it blows my mind that people shell out big bucks for Inhumans 1st appearance and not guardians 1st appearance. Guardians is in filming of second movie, Inhumans rumor of possibly canning the future Inhumans movie.

    1. Vampi is awesome. I have issue one, had it for a while. I’m a huge fan of all horror comics. Vampirella is my focus for now, but I tend to go after pre code horror books. As long as the cover is attached and it’s in decent condition I’m happy. I’ve also been buying some art prints.

    2. There is also a small print run vampire book that comes out this week called Queen of Vampires from ARH Studios,might be worth a look

  5. Howard the Duck #4: I have found myself become a Galactus fan recently. With the Ultimates and Howard the Duck, it seems I’ll be well taken care of in this fandom.
    Invincible Iron Man #6: There is a lot of Bendis hate that goes around. This series has been pretty awesome, though. I like the clean, crisp art inside. We’ll see if they jump the shark with International Iron Man.
    Klaus #3: Christmas being over hasn’t killed my buzz on this one yet. Great, vivid art in here.
    Paper Girls #5: The solicit promises a big cliff-hanger. It must be big if BKV is pointing the cliff-hanger out. Ole’ Cliff-Hanger McGee thinks this cliff-hanger is worth a special mention.
    Obi-Wan and Anakin #2 #1 pleasantly surprised me.
    The Vision #4 At issue 2, this teetered on the border of being dropped from my pull, but 3 pulled me back in.
    Kennel Block Blues #1: this looks fun. As an avid animal adopter, this might tug some heart strings.
    Peek the First #1: with a solicit like that, you’re just locked into checking it out. I can’t wait to be offended!

    1. Somehow I totally looked over Kennel Block Blues.. but I was able to snag the Pitarra variant at cover. So that was a win for me.. 🙂

        1. I haven’t read it yet but I’m still wondering how it flew under my radar when sorting through my picks.. I love animals (some days more than most people)… Like Garth Ennis’s “Rover Red Charlie” was an awesome book.. anyone who owns a dog gets that book..

      Im still pissed at Lemire for skipping the sat of fan expo and thus not being there to sign my books. I have two of three sigs on All New Hawkeye #1 and nothing on Descender 🙁

  8. Ok here is the scoop ..The UPS truck that delivers comics to the New York area broke down somewhere in the middle of the country ,Books should be on shelves sometime this afternoon

    I am in theory giving others a crack at it.

    1. If they had 2 and you left one.. you did good sir. I’d say if its there still at the end of the day, I’d have no problem with you nabbing it but I’m sure it’ll be gone before noon.
      One LCS for me had just one, I grabbed it for sure. My other shop had one but at the inflated $9.99 price (which still isn’t bad price, I just don’t buy variants above cover).

        1. Yeah, I looked for Scarlet Witch variants.. one shop got none.. the other had a few at the inflated prices so I passed.

    Action Comics – just waiting to see supes get repowered then i’ll likely drop for a bit
    Deadpool and the Mercs for Money – because its DP duh
    Detective comics – was going to drop, but now that Snyder is taking over after batman #52, i”ll likely just move from batman to this
    Midnighter – my fave recently
    Nailbiter – its good, but was moving slowly and just recently started to pick up
    Spider man – interested in seeing how miles fits into his new universe
    Spidey – loving this series, actually feels like a spiderman title
    ASM – im with poyo here, ever since ANAD, this series has really shit the bed. If if wasn’t a spiderman title, I’d drop it.
    Walking Dead – because duh, its WD
    Uncanny Avengers – will probably drop after this arc
    Got a message from my friend, got a Suicide Squad and BvS movie swag package on the way! Hopefully there’s some gear that’s insider, not just the usual promo materials

  15. Under my £20 limit for the first time in ages, that actually feels genuinely good.. Then blew it by ordering 1-4 of Henry and Glenn forever after hearing about it on Kevin smiths fatman on batman pod cast, how did I miss that?! Sounds genuinely mental. Anyway…

    1. Henry and Glenn Forever is great. A buddy of mine got Henry Rollins to sign a copy at one of his spoken word shows in DC. Also, Henry Rollins sang along side Glenn Danzig on a live version of We Are 138 on a live recording. He was a fan of the Misfits.

  16. I really enjoyed Mirror #1. It is like a mashup of Princess Mononoke, the Secret of Nimh, and Lewis Carroll done in watercolor.

  17. didnt know where to say this, but i saw a early screening for deadpool tonight. Anyone who might have been worried , dont be. It WAS AMAZING!!!! Oh and Funny!!! looks like im keeping my new mutants 98, cant bring myself to sell it lol.

      1. The thing that cracks me up about the Dynamic Forces signed variant is you are paying a set price, their sale price, which is an arbitrary charge based on a year that the original character was introduced. That is unless you want it signed with a red sharpie and then it is $10 more.
