Smoketown #1 Available at Scout Comics Website

If you missed out on Smoketown #1 this week, here is your chance to grab a copy directly from a Scout Comics.

SMOKETOWN #1 hit comic book stores this past Wednesday and we’re already hearing reports of sell outs and mass re-orders!
From acclaimed writer Phillip Kennedy Johnson (Warlords of Appalachia, Last Sons of America), and introducing artist Scott Van Domelen, comes the first in an interconnecting series of chapters in the tradition of David Lapham’s Stray Bullets, Brubaker/Phillips’ Criminal, and Pulp Fiction. Each chapter explores the final days of a murdered soldier from a new perspective, each one exposing the criminal side of a small industrial Pennsylvania town.

In Chapter One, “Killing Marcus,” after a life-or-death situation, a battered wife and mother has until sunrise to cover up a horrifying crime, not knowing that her actions have set her up for a confrontation with some even more dangerous people.
Please let your local comic store know to order this hot new series (because we love to support comic stores!!), or copies are still available at (but for how long?!).

I’m always hesitant to spec on these small indie companies but I picked up a copy just in case.

This didn’t appeal to me when i first read about it, but i took a look at the book and loved the art work….Sometimes the simplest artwork can do wonders ( Hawkeye) …..
