What Up CHU? Mel V. here with your weekly variant picks for the week for July 18th. Huge list this week, lots of potential winners. There is even an AquaMan cover that I love that does not involve him getting beat up… (surprise, surprise). Lets get right into it
America #5 Cover B Incentive Kevin Wada Variant Cover – Still trying to figure out what draws me to this character and her variants, as long as I like em I will keep buying em. Hope it pays off at some point. Artist Kevin Wada made her look like this girl I knew back in the day I think this is why I like it
Aquaman Vol 6 #26 Cover B Variant Joshua Middleton Cover– There you have it folks. An Aquaman cover, for the first time ever on this list. Seriously though, Middleton did a fantastic job on this cover I will be hunting these
Archie Vol 2 #22 Cover C Variant Greg Smallwood Cover .. SOMETHING HUGE Happens in this issue according to the solicitations. Put me down for one. (have you seen the spoilers Anthony put up?)
Astonishing X-Men Vol 4 #1 Cover C Incentive Terry Dodson Character Variant Cover – Another Great Psylocke cover, really just a fantastic cover overall
Astonishing X-Men Vol 4 #1 Cover E Incentive John Cassady Variant Cover – Personally, I love this cover, as I do all reflection claw covers (ala Hulk 340)
Luke Cage #3 Cover B Incentive Julian Totino Tedesco Variant Cover – I’m pretty sure this one will be underordered and tough to find. And it’s a damn good looking cover, could be a sleeper
Peter Parker Spectacular Spider-Man #2 Cover B Variant Jim Lee X-Men Trading Card Cover – Funky qualifying for this variant may make this tough to find at some smaller retailers. Keep an eye out
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Universe #12 Cover B Variant Tom Whalen Cover and
X-Files Vol 3 #16 Cover B Variant Tom Whalen Cover – Mr Whalen has a huge fan base and people will be searching and hunting these variants..go get ’em tiger
Trinity Vol 2 #11 Cover B Variant Bill Sienkiewicz Cover – ahhh this variant. I like it..then hate it..LOVE it ..then despise it. Right now I like it enough to get one. Tomorrow I may put it back on the shelf.
Z Nation #4 Cover E Incentive Lucio Parrillo Virgin Cover – I will admit I didn’t get hip to Parrillo’s art until I started collecting these Z nation Virgin variants. These have been absolutely beautiful, good luck finding them though. Both issue 2 and 3 didn’t make the Comichron list for sales and the lowest book sold was at or around 2100 copies, so lets say it sold 2099 copies and the virgins are 1:20. Sheesh, lets just say if your collecting Parrillo, these will be among the toughest to find
Star Wars Darth Maul #5 Cover E Incentive Kaare Andrews Variant Cover – Star Wars Cover for the second week straight, I sound like Drunk Wooky. But I mean honestly, Darth Maul variants should be on here every week. This cover looks so good

OMG! Aquaman!
America 5 will be a straight ghost. When both graham crackers and dreamland don’t list a single copy of a Marvel 1:25, it’s going to be real tough to find.
My LCS had two up today. Maybe I should go back tomorrow to see if they still have one.
I found the only 2 out of the 3 in NYC
I know nothing about Aquaman. What character is that on the B cover?
Dolphin is her name
Dolphin
Wow….that Amarillo cover for Z Nation is really outstanding. It actually looks like Caravaggio painted it…..scary good.
Damn auto-correct. It should Parrillo above, not Amarillo….
That Z Nation cover is amazing. But how to find it???
Pray..becsuse they hardly ever show up on ebay
Both Aquaman #26 covers are awesome! Cover A by Stjepan Sejic features a beautiful pic of an angry Mera. This is one of the best pics I have ever seen of her. Sejic’s artwork is simply stunning! I hope this guy draws Aquaman forever! If you don’t usually buy Aquaman, jump on board with issue #25 which is Sejic’s first issue doing the interiors…his cover A on that book is awesome too!
Yes, Sejic is killing it on Aquaman. And Middleton has been killing it on the B covers since #1. I may have to start picking up both covers!
No Luck on the Luke Cage
