Inexpensive Variant Watch: Rick and Morty 8-16 Exceed Variants

One thing I can say from this weekend, Rick and Morty is definitely hot. I spent a good part of NYCC going back and forth to the One booth to grab copies of the NYCC #30 blank variant and the Pocket Like You Stole It #1 NYCC Variant. Here is a chance to get 8 early issue variant for less than $6 each, with free shipping to boot.
Jesse James Comics has Rick and Morty Exceed Variants 8-16 for $49.99 with free shipping. The 9 comics work out to $5.55 each.
Issue #8 alone has sold for $10-$20 As the show gets more popular, these early books could continue to go up.

  1. I ordered set last week and ebay had promonycc code for 20 percent off so i only paid 39.95.Could not pass it up.Great set

  2. I get it… It’s a hot show “right now” but I can’t see it staying. That being said the comics for the series value won’t hold either. I expect it to drop faster than it grew if and when the creators finally had enough of each other. Don’t forget season 3 barely got released because they hate each other so much

    1. If by “right now” you mean for the last four years than sure.
There is no merit to the Dan and Justin hate each other stuff. Just internet make believe that was revealed to be untrue months ago. These books have a crap ton (it’s a metric unit) of upside for years to come.

  3. I got burned on Steven Universe, thinking that book was going to rise in value. I don’t watch most of the popular cartoon shows these days and can’t really gauge what’s hot or not, because it seems like they ALL have a huge following… which may or may not translate to comic book sales. But the 1st Appearance of Steven Universe in Comic Book Form actually Pre-Dated his 1st Appearance on Television, so I thought that would be a big deal. I’m still sitting on them, lol.
