Witchblade #1 From Image Comics Sells out

Fans fell in love with Alex Underwood—writer Caitlin Kittredge (THROWAWAYS, Coffin Hill) and artist Roberta Ingranata’s newest WITCHBLADE host—in WITCHBLADE #1’s fresh spin on the classic comic series. WITCHBLADE was first co-created by Image Comics co-founder and partner, Marc Silvestri, with Brian Haberlin, Michael Turner, and David Wohl, and launched as an all-new series last week to overwhelming critical acclaim. It will be fast-tracked for a second printing in order to keep up with increasing customer demand.

    1. Haha.. only time and demand will tell us that. If it were to heat up, it likely would have already. Like so many other Image titles, most have or will see second printings. It’s almost the norm now. They could likely send these out before release day. To me, it’s all a marketing strategy now with Image.

      1. Yeah, the complete opposite of their proclamation that they wouldn’t be doing 2nd printings anymore… which lasted a few months… then they started doing 2nd prints of tons of books per month. The only thing that could *really* make this book heat up is if the new wielder of the Witchblade who 1st appears in this movie becomes the star of a Witchblade movie or TV series. As a long-time fan, I would actually be offended if they didn’t go with Sara Pezzini; and I don’t care about spec on this book, I’m just reading it as a long-time Witchblade fan.

  1. Read Witchblade because of this article. Not very good.
    The re-read the original Witchblade immediately afterwards. It was better. Got to the third issue.
    I wouldn’t read the second issue of the new series.
