  1. Kevin verdine says:

Mycomicshop has stabbity bunny for $1 more for 2nd print and $2 more for #3. Really?? Not even one hour on the site and already jacking up prices??

  2. Wells Floyd says:

What do you guys think about Peek-A-Boo? Sold out but nobody’s really talking about it,

    • Anthony says:

I had it in the new comic spec review video. It looks good. The downside is it is a Zenescope book that people don’t take seriously. They will have a ton of variants for it at conventions.

    • agentpoyo says:

The first rule about spec’ing comic books is to never spec on Zenescope or any of those Boundless books.. 😉

  3. Poka says:

I pre-ordered Peek-A-Boo a couple of months ago – so will have a few of them.

Not really much for me this week. So instead I have been buying NM #99 🤫

  4. Poka says:

Btw – if you haven’t seen it there is a eBay coupon live right now but have to be quick. Believe it expires 8pm PT.

PREPSPRING 15% min $25 purchase. Max $50 discount, can only use one. US, Canada, Latin America and Caribbean registered accounts only.

    • David says:

I had a Batman 227 CGC SS (Adams) in my cart ready to go and someone snagged it from me as soon as this coupon was available…damn…It’s the second time that has happened too. Last time it was the 25% off coupon.

Everything else are regular auctions that end tomorrow…I have terrible timing…

    • Monks says:

Broke down and got a mister miracle 1 cgc with the code

My alt choice was the batman 227 someone else mentioned. Damn I want that book

  5. rush diehard says:

  6. Lonzilla says:

Raided the dollar bins pretty good over the weekend and in the last couple of days.
New Mutants #8 4 copies, all flipped.
X-force #116 8 copies, flipped 2 so far. Keeping the lone newsstand and 2 potential 9.8’s.
X-Force #125 & #126 10 copies of each. I see Dead Girl appearing in a future Deadpool or X-Force movie, just a hunch.
Venom #2 2nd print & Flashpoint one shot, both heading to CGC
Venom Summer Special #1 or Super Special, whatever the title is. It’s not on front of me but I’ll take a $40 book for a buck
    Factor X #1 4 direct, 2 newsstand, 2 2nd print
Bloodstone #1, I’m at double digits with this one, still looking for a raw 9.8
All in all a decent week

  7. A. King says:

Not sure what I’m going to pick up tomorrow. The show I did last Sunday, was pretty good. I paid for the table in the first hour. One guy scoffed at my Infinity Gauntlet #1-6 set I had priced for $100, really I some one dealer had their #1 only #1 price at $70. It seemed like most people were only looking in my dollar boxes. My Rick and Morty #1 didn’t get any bites which surprised me. All my other big books E O S V #2, TT #12, Thanos #13 sold pretty quick, I went through all my copies and took the worst one’s to get rid of. Now I’ve got a few more dollars to spend at Awesome Con this weekend.

  8. Jesus says:

Nothing for me this week. And I only have $300 left to pay on my BA #12. I can almost feel it lol. Will give it to the wife for mothers day.

  9. Alana says:

    This weeks pickups……
    Mister Miracle #1 1975 1st Mister Miracle
Brave and the Bold #85 1st New Arrow
Fear #19 1st Howard the Duck.
    Factor x 1-4 1st Bedlem

    Astrocity #1 x2
X FORCE #116 1st Doop Ugogirl and Zeitgeist
    Secret Wars toy Daredevil
    Secret Wars toy Dr. Doom
    Secret Wars toy Iron Man
New Mutants #8 x4 1st Surge need these to hurry up and get here to flip out quick, in case people realize they don’t want em. Crazy I sold my Moongirl # 28s for $40 and $30 now I see a flood of copies listed as low as $10. Just need a Green Lantern book to finish up my Bronze Age collection.

    • Alana says:

Should be 1971 next to Mister Miracle

    • Dave says:

Yeah, it flipped my 3 extra copies of moon girl quick at $25-$35 a piece. My other nice flip the past few weeks has been Web of Spider-Man 97/99…picked up two sets for $10 total, flipped em for $60 total.

could not find NM 8, bit will keep looking. Found a web of spider man 125, but holding onto it for now…will look for more tomorrow as well as x-force 116. Heading to a few different shops in the next few days, hopefully.

      • Anthony says:

        Couldn’t find a NM 8 either.

      • Anthony says:

And damn if I forgot to look for x-force 116. I have a regular and newsstand version somewhere.

      • David says:

Picked up 3 copies of Thanos #1 (2017) yesterday and another Moon Girl 28. Today found a New Mutants 8 (finally) and another Web of Spider-Man 125 (this time w/o the holo-disc). Also picked up a nice copy of Thanos 17 (ward variant).

No luck with any more WOSM 97/99, X-Force 116, ASM 430/431, though. Might hit a few more places tomorrow if not later this coming week.

    • David Billadeau says:

What Green Lantern issue are you looking for….76?

      • Alana says:

I have #76 I need #87. I’ve been shopping it for so long that I may even have it in low grade and just don’t remember buying it. Have to search everything for it sometimes I forget the last books I buy before I take a break from Comics every year. If anyone has one to trade I got multiple TT #12s Thanos #13’s Moongirl #28s among a bunch of other stuff.

  10. David Bitterbaum says:

    A decent week for stuff…
Avengers #686–getting some buzz on here.
Bloodborne #2–issue #1 was HOT on eBay, maybe #2 will be?
    Cyber Force #1–Worth a flip-through.
Doomsday Clock #4–Enjoyable series, but slow-moving as Hell.
    Galaktikon #6–Hilarious mini-series!
Graveland #4–A less-discussed SCOUT book that’s still fun.
Jessica Jones #18–Bendis concludes his run, someone else takes over next?
    Legion #3–Weird, but good.
Moon Knight #193–Terrible writing, great artwork.
    Shiver Bureau #2–More SCOUT-goodness!
Stabbity Bunny #3–The really popular SCOUT book!
Tarot: Witch of the Black Rose #109–It can be cheesecakey, but it is fun!
Terrifics #2–The first issue was enjoyable, I hope this one is too!

Oh, and I need to try and grab some Power Rangers #25 if I’m siding with Tony, or avoid it if I’m siding with Poyo. I apologize to Poyo, but I’m going with Tony and grabbing some.

    • Anthony says:

I like Tarot. I do not shy away from it. Yes Cheesecake, but some really good stories The Witchcraft can be a little much, but I have been friends with Holly Golightly on facebook for a long while now and can say she and Jim Balent are good people.Half the reason I support the book

      • David Bitterbaum says:

I love them too! Interviewed them for the blog and they are extremely nice. Plus, whether he’s drawing cheesecake, quiet talking scenes, or explosive action, Balent got skill too.

  11. OC_GUY says:

Not much as far as monthly books this week, but I did bite the bullet and picked up an FF #48 for the pc. Been on my radar for a while and it has started to move big-time. I figured buy now before I have to pay the same price next year for one two or three grades lower. Outside of that picked some of the new specs, such as NM #8 and Factor=X #1… Picked up some extra New Mutants #100. Already had plenty of Web of Spider-man #97 &98.

    • Anthony says:

My LCS had one on the wall the other day priced at $299. I was hoping to move some books to grab it but it sold before I could raise the cash. Next time perhaps.

  12. Brennan says:

    Hello again.
Busy week, but my course ends tonight so next week I can actually get my stuff on Wednesday!
Baseball is officially back starting tomorrow so that’s great too!

    This week I am getting:

    Dark Nights Metal #6
    Detective Comics #977
    Doomsday Clock #4
    Image + #8
    Jimmy’s Bastards #7
    Manifest Destiny # 34
    Spectacular Spiderman #302
    Redneck #11
    Spiderman/Deadpool #30
    Dr. Aphra #18
    Avengers #686
    Despicable Deadpool #297
    Flash #43
    Hellblazer #20
    The Silencer #3

Grabbed some variants on sale on Friday when I picked up my books from last week.

    Avengers #675 Party Variant
    Despicable Deadpool #290 Pheonix Variant
And Wildcats #1 Vol. 4 McFarlane Variant

  13. Picking up:
    Saga both covers
    Rick & Morty

I sent off my Love & Rockets 1 B&W to CCG for a press and slab. Just recieved notification that my 11 books at CBCS are in shipping status, but no posted grades yet. Heading to the “armpit of Oregon”, Grants Pass, for my daughter’s spring break. Going to visit some caves near Cave Junction. My daughter just passed her driver’s ed class and now needs 50 hours of driving time before getting her license. Road trip!

    • Anthony says:

      You are a brave man.

    • agentpoyo says:

Wait a minute? Oregon makes people actually learn to drive by actually driving? I swear here in Texas they just give anyone a license and they’ve been doing the same stupid multiple choice test for decades.. probably why all the drivers here in Texas suck!

      • The 50 hour prerequisite is a “good faith”, fill out this travel log (wink wink), and sign it. Not everyone is honest about it. I told the kid it is up to her to keep track of her hours.

      • agentpoyo says:

Oh… Yeah I can see many not actually driving 50 hours.

  14. Eric R says:

    Pick ups this week:
    Jimmy’s Bastards #7
    Wonder Woman (Frison variant)
    Doctor Aphra #18
    Galaktikon #6
    Avengers #686
Power Rangers #25 (only found 1 black bag out of 4 different stores)
    Moongirl #29

    Spec pick ups this week:
    Factor X #1 ($3)
    New Mutants #8 ($5)
    Thanos #17 (Ward variant cover)
Thanos #17 (Cover A cover price)

I know this sounds like a broken record, but I can’t believe what a juggernaut Thanos is! I just sold a #13 cover A for $55 a week ago and now they are starting to close in the $80-$85 range. I haven’t sold any 2nd prints on this series, but anytime I put a first print up or variant, I have 2-3 offers within an hour or so and then gone! Even the #1 and #2 of this series are starting to move for decent cash. I thought TAH #22 had heat, but this is crazy.

    • JayClue says:

Im selling 3rd prints of that #13 for $15. Truly nuts.

    • Dave says:

Will need to check out what other books in the series are doing on eBay prior to #13…seen plenty around, but if de,and is creeping up for the new movie they won’t be much longer.

Slow week. Picked up DNM #6 (foil), Doomsday Clock 4B and Moon Girl 29 (x2). Looked around for more WoSM 97/99/125 and NM 8 and XFactor 116….came up short but did discover a Near mint copy of Iron Man 219! Shop owner sold it for $3 cause he looked it up in overstreet (he admitted he hadn’t gone through the stack yet to price them…stack also had 3 copies of NM 100, ASM 252/362/363 among other hot comics.

  15. Taylor Cook says:

Not much in the way of new books for me this week. Saga really has me hooked so I was looking forward to this one.

I did manage to pick up a mint copy of Rick and Morty vindicators for cover, and another lenticular thanos 13 for cover. The shop I usually snag most hot specs from had a whole stack of thanos 13 cover A’s a week after they went hot. I sold them a while back, and said meh, no one’s gunna care about CGR. I’m kicking myself now after looking at recently closed sales. I saved one cover a and a couple lenticulars. I’m surprised the lenticular cover isn’t amounting to anything. Oh well.

    • Anthony says:

I originally picked up the Lenticular thinking that is the way people would go but quickly scrambled to get the regular.

      Sent from my iPhone

      • Alana says:

It’s just because the lenticular hate. People think the Lenticulars were bad because of the ordering requirements. What everyone failed to mention when hating on the Lenticulars is that most came with 1:10 headshot and 1:25 variants. Just one 1:25 Thanos #13 would pay for all your lenticular ordering requirements.

  16. Admiral Snackbar says:

midtown has 2 signed versions of weapon H #1 for cover price right now. one signed by greg pak, one signed by cory smith.

and spawn 284’s cover by mattina is really nice and has a virgin variant for cover price, too. not a big spawn fan but the cover art is great. and a virgin variant for cover price? i’m in.

also next week we’ll get true believers thanos the first #1 which reprints his 1st app from iron man #55. cool reprint for only $1.

    • Matt C says:

Saw those signed covers too. Kinda wish they’d just put both on the same comic, I’d pay double cover lol

      • Matt C says:

Next week is also the potential first Red Goblin issue for ASM 798, but seems like it’s probably been ordered a plenty

      • agentpoyo says:

Considering that ASM is already usually a 100k book each issue.. and all the hype building up from Marvel Marketing.. yeah, 798 is gonna be rather easy to get. But since there will always be ASM fans and new ones born every day, I’m gonna just stash the copies I picked up for the long haul. Even if it turns out to be a $50 book 10 or 15 years from now if the Red Goblin sticks around as a major villain, I’ll be happy.

      • Uncle Willie says:

I’m pretty sure 798 will be the 1st Red Goblin, officially .. the order numbers I’ve seen are very, very high ..

  17. Ken M. says:

Missed out on Hungry Ghosts #3, but that’s about it. Some of the covers for Metal #6 were sold out, but most of the main books for this week were still available. Here is this week’s pull:

    FLASH #43 VAR ED
    MYSTIK U #3 (OF 3)
    SAGA #50
    REDNECK #11
    X-MEN BLUE #24 LEG

  18. A. King says:

Called my main shop to put a copy of Moon Girl in my pullbox but sold out. I did add a title from Image that sounds interesting called Barrier to my pullbox. That’s it for me today, no new pickups.

  19. J. Coleman says:

Going to go on a hunt for Thanos #1 (2017). Seems to also be a hot book…broaching $20 on EBAY lately…

    • Dave says:

Snagged 3 copies of Thanos #1 (2017) off the shelf at my lcs today. They’ve been sitting there for over a year…18 months? Not any longer… Put one up on eBay.

  21. Lonzilla says:

Found 2 copies of Spawn #249 for cover today. The prices on these are insane!
