Deadly Class Picked up for Full Season on Syfy

We reported back in September that a pilot for the TV adaptation of Rick Remender’s Deadly Class had been ordered. We later reported, November of last year, that the pilot episode had begun filming. Today we got word that a full season of the show has been ordered.
The characters and title first appears in Deadly Class #1 (available on eBay).
From Deadline.com:

Syfy has picked up to series Deadly Class, based on the critically acclaimed Image Comics graphic novel by Rick Remender and Wes Craig, from The Avengers directors Joe and Anthony Russo, Sony Pictures TV and Universal Cable Productions.
Adapted for television by Remender and Miles Orion Feldsott, Deadly Class is described as a coming of age journey full of ancient mystery and teen angst. Set in a dark, comic book world against the backdrop of late 80s counter culture, it follows a homeless teen recruited into a storied elite private school where the world’s top crime families send their next generations. Maintaining his moral code while surviving a ruthless curriculum, vicious social cliques and his own adolescent uncertainties soon proves to be vital.

  1. The Russo brothers directing a SyFy TV show? Is SyFy finally trying to claw its way out of the low budget garbage that it’s been stuck in for decades? I hope so, The Magicians and the Expanse were steps in the right direction, here is hoping my 20+ copies of Deadly Class #1 payoff

    1. Happy! was awesome show. If they keep making shows with that type of quality and acting, then they will start climbing up the ladder for me.

      1. I have a 9.8 CGC myself, not signed. But I managed to get it cheap after I sold my other #1 raw copy long ago on the option news for a very nice profit.
