Comic Picks of the Week for Delivery 11/21/18

Each Week, hundreds of new comics hit the stands, each with potential. Some live up to that potential. We pick the ones we think have the best show at heating up. Here are our picks of the week for delivery 11/21/18:

The Killer B
Batman #59 Mattina Cover – Mattina has been doing great covers for DC.

Harley Quinn #54 Frank Cho Cover – I know I am beating a dead horse to some, and preaching to the choir to others. Cho does great covers, these season covers he has done have been awesome.

Justice League Dark #5 Crain Cover – Clayton Crain provides an awesome cover for the mystic Justice League.

The Variant to Grab
Solo A Star Wars Story Adaptation #2 Carlos Pacheco Variant Cover – I grabbed a #1, put a price on it, and it sold. Expect #2 to do the same.

The Gamble
Rick and Morty Presents Pickle Rick #1 – Why is this a gamble, Sleepy Gary didn’t do well and I think stores are up on the Rick and Morty trend.

The Small Press Gem?
Conspiracy #1 The Illuminati Cover B – Great looking cover. Could be a cool read. i have been enjoying the Ripley Believe it or Not series that has come out from Zenescope. These books are moving away from the “boob books” they have been known for.

The Big Two Pick of the Week
Web of Venom Carnage Born #1 – This is a grower, Carnage returns and done by Donny Cates. Long term value there I believe.  Web of Venom #1 Carnage Born 1:100 Hotz Variant  could be a monster. The Web of Venom Carnage Born Midtown Sienkiewicz Variant  could be a good flip as well.

The Pick of the Week
Middlewest #1– Skottie Young’s new book. Great read and is getting rave reviews. Of course the 1:20 Variant is turning out to be a beast.

  1. D-Rog says:

You’re showing the Go-Bots #2 cover. But I agree the shaw cover for issue 2 is sweet. Pre-ordered one.

  2. I’m showing Conspiracy is a cover price of $5 for only 25 pages? Anyone confirm that?

  3. A. King says:

The newer Rick and Morty stuff doesn’t heat up like it used to.
