  1. I just added 25 to my cart (for fun), apparently midtown doesn’t allow you to buy more than 25 of something.

Either way, plenty available. But I’m passing. Thanks though.

  2. I wish the midtown website would work with a text reader.trying to order a few copies and having major troblems .if anyone can help me out that would be #awesomesauce.love you guys blind adam out

  3. Theres about 8+ people up there already with more than 10+ available at around $15 – $25 and no sales. I would jump on this but I feel like it’ll be one bought every few weeks if lucky.

    1. Midtown is not one of the stores that I detest. They are not one of the grifter stores like CX and Unknown et al. But, cover A of IH #1, with a much higher print run will get you the same price on the current secondary market. Just an example of how worthless store variants are. I mean, there are only 3000 midtown variants, w/ a $12.50 buy in + shipping and it still isnt sought after nearly as much as Cover A, with a print run of 84,153, at a $4.99 original buy in. Store variants rarely pan out for spec. Thats facts. Not my opinion. Buy store variants for your PC, if you like. Youll lose your shirt ordering them for spec.

        1. I know. But 1 year after its release, the shop is clearing them out of stock. It has a print run of 3000, the Midtown variant, and it hasnt even sold out after being on sale for 12 months. Why would anyone buy the midtown on eBay, when they could have Cover A for the same price on eBay. Not to mention that once all these copies being sold today will all end up on eBay at roughly the same time. How do you suppose the value for flipping will be affected at that point? Probably not good. Will the demand meet that sudden influx of supply? I doubt it. Now, there is def room for a profit with this particular exclusive book, but I believe my points show that the investment in exclusives, for spec purposes, is a dicey game at best.

          1. It’s the same reason people buy any comic book on eBay sometimes when it’s still available at your local shops or online retailers. I truly think some people are just stuck that eBay is our only option.

Remember the mattina signed stranger things exclusive variant for Midtown? People were buying those for like $25 when you could still get them for $10 on Midtown.

            1. That wasnt my point. I was saying that if you were on eBay shopping for Issue #1 of IH, and you have cover A for $20 and the Exclusive for $25, what one are you picking? Plus the eBay price will drop on that exclusive as soon as ebay is flooded with all the copies going out in this sale. I may not have made my self clear in my original post. That is on me. I know my posts are convoluted sometimes.

      1. This makes them cover price. I am happy with the copies I bought. I think overall if the series keeps heating up it will continue to push the other covers up as well. Also, and I hate to say it, but have you seen what the Frankie’s variant of Immortal Hulk is doing. I am with you on store variants most of the time but I think that one is on fire.

        1. Agreed. There is profit to be made on this particular exclusive book due to the overwhelming popularity of the best series of 2018, as I have previously stated. But when you apply the logic we have discussed in this post to most exclusives, it does not make sense from an investment standpoint, imo.
And I have not seen what Frankies is doing. I do not do store variants at all anymore. I even purged 99% of them from my collection (thats when you can really tell how lousy of an investment they are). Plus, w/ me being in the Great White North, the shipping to me, for these exclusives, would really kill any profit margin I may have with reselling them.

  4. I bought one for the pc and an extra one just in case the series stays hot. Maybe a better long term book since there are so many out there. At some point the Ross cover will be double where they are now and some collectors will look toward the variants more aggressively.
