Kickstarter Spotlight: Unikorn, Orignal Graphic Novel Set in ‘The Source’ Universe

We have always been fans of supporting small press comics. You don’t get much smaller than ones that are crowd-funded. Kickstarter has become a great place to launch and finance comic books. Up today is the graphic novel Unikorn by Don Handfield (creator of The Rift, The Source, The Mall), Joshua Malkan (Screen Writer Cabin Fever 2), and Rafael Loureiro (Artist The Mall).

Unikorn is set in the same world as our best-selling comic book series THE SOURCE, a world exactly like our own that is based on real history, mythology and folklore.

From Don Handfield

Over the last year, my writing partner Joshua and I each lost a parent. We wanted to create a narrative to help families cope with loss in a way that is emotionally grounded, but never gets overly dark in tone.

About the Book:

Unikorn is a 120+ page family-friendly graphic novel that sends the message that with a little love, faith and hope, we never have to let go of the ones we’ve lost. They are always with us in spirit. And, that it’s okay to keep believing in ‘magic’, no matter how old you get.
