Comic Picks of the Week for Delivery 4/10/19

Each week hundreds of new comics hit the stands, each with potential. Some live up to that potential. We pick the ones we think have the best shot at heating up. Here are our picks of the week for delivery 4/10/19:

Good week for comics but small spec week in my opinion. Here is what I am looking at.

Killer B’s
Catwoman #10 Artgerm Cover – Artgerm kills it on this Catwoman cover, yet again.

Batman #68 Mattina Cover – Another great looking cover by ‘He who shall not be named”. Please tell me he didn’t rip this one off too.

Detective #1001 Finch Cover – Great looking Batman cover by Finch, first full Arkham Knight

Red Hood Outlaw #33 Parrillo Cover – Man, just buy it. Awesome.

Wonder Woman #68 Kaare Andrews Cover – Andrews out with two great covers this week, this one, and the Batman Who Laughs.

Symbiote Spider-Man #1 Artgerm Cover – OK technically a C cover, but great all the same.

Small Press Gems
Crossover #1 – I like Amigo comics, they are crossing over their characters in this series, hence the name. Anyway, fun characters in the same book. Was sold out at Midtown earlier this week.

Orphan Age #1 – Interesting sounding new series. Kids trying to rebuild civilization after the adults all die off. The variant is worth grabbing if you get it cheap.

Cold Blood Samurai #1 – This one isn’t going to be for everybody since it is based off a classic poem. Add in anthropomorphic animals, and coming from a small press company, and I can’t imagine there will be a ton of copies out there.

Small Press Pick of the Week
Faithless #1 – I have a feeling that this could be good. The bagged Mature Lotay variant seems to be getting the attention.

The Pick of the Week
Detective Comics #1001 – Yes, it appears on the list twice. I think this is the issue to grab long term. First Arkham Knight in the DCU proper. It is going to be interesting and as the storyline unfolds to who it is, could be great growth potential in either cover.
