War of the Realms: Agents of Atlas #1 is in stores May 8th. It has been getting some heat pre-release due to several new characters being introduced. The team is made up of Asian and Asian American characters including several well established ones; Silk (Cindy Moon), Brawn (Amadeus Cho, formerly Totally Awesome Hulk), Shang Chi (Master of Kung-Fu) and Jimmy Woo (super spy). Now, on to the new characters that are appearing in the series.
Plenty of reasons to grab War of the Realms: Agents of Atlas #1 , here are the new characters:
Luna Snow – Seol Hee is an aspiring K-Pop singer who gets exposed to an experimental Cold Fusion Energy Experiment. She has appeared in Marvel Future Fight video game as an original character. This is her first comic book appearance. She has videos of her songs released on Youtube.
Crescent – 10 year old Korean girl, named Dan Bi, who puts on a mask and becomes a super hero. (lower left hand corner behind Shang Chi). When she taps the crescent moon on her mask she unleashes… Also from Marvel Future Fight, and first comic book appearance
Io – 12-foot-tall glowing “half-moon” bear (left center, um.. the glowing bear). From Marvel Future Fight and first comic appearance.
Sword Master – Lin Lie, a young student who finds an ancient artifact that gives him incredible powers, but who unwittingly unleashes an ancient evil tied to his own family’s past. First comic appearance. Has not been in a video game. (top left, guy with the sword who looks like Wiccan). Has appeared in Marvel Chinese digital comics
Wave – mysterious new Filipino heroine. Co-created and designed by Leinil Yu . (not pictured). First appearance in comics, has not been in a video game.
Aero – Lei Ling , an architect with superpowers that allow her to manipulate air currents. Has appeared in Chinese Marvel digital comics. First appearance in comics.
Also possibly appearing in the book is White Fox who first appeared in the 2105 Contest of Champions #1.

Nope. But it is nice to know what is going on in the comics.
I may grab one or two. There have been numerous news stories about the characters in different countries and there are people genuinely excited about them.

I’ve been looking at first appearances as well, I already pre-ordered a ton of copies of this book a month ago when I extensively researched new characters in comic previews at some website. (BTW: I also found out that in an upcoming July Fantastic Four series; Prodigal Sun #1 there will be a new character. I can’t find anywhere to pre-order the Prodigal Sun #1’s yet, can any of you help me out?) I would also like to pick up cheap ratio variants of The War of Realms Agents of Atlas because with that many new characters, there is a good chance that one might make it big.
The game the characters come from Future Fight has 100 million players worldwide if only 1% want the book that’s still a million people.
If it’s a July comic, the Preview books don’t come out until next Tuesday and the order codes may not go active until closer to the 1st of May at Diamond for retailers to begin ordering for you.
Someone just bought all the copies from online retailers of this comic, just a little bit ago, good thing I already pre-ordered a few copies. I expect eBay prices to jump really high tomorrow. I was thinking of ordering more, but I was too late.
