Hi Dave, There was a stack of Naomi’s sitting at my LCS for a long time, I bought 3 of em, there were 7 or 8 still there, I didn’t feel right about clearing em out, figured Id leave some for other readers. I didnt get an email from covrprice this week of this list. Last time that happened there wasn’t a top 10 runner ups posted…same thing goes for this week.
The sites so glitched today that clicking on anything takes you to the complete your registration page which then traps you with a filled out registration that every time you click the continue button it unchecks the box for # of comics you own. If they can’t get the free version working consistently I’ll never get tempted to upgrade to a paid version.

I’m also curious why some books have dropped off the list. Take Batman Damned #1. It’s pretty much lived on the list until the last couple weeks. If I understand this correctly, DF cancelled orders from the stores for $49.99 CGC graded copies of Batman Damned #1. Now on their own website they’re selling them for $199.99 and if you scroll further down they’re now selling ungraded (apparently the ones they didn’t send off to CGC for stores) for $50. Until they run out of the copies they didn’t get to stores as solicited I doubt you’ll see prices going back up on E-Bay keeping it off the list from covrprice until then.

Did everyone who ordered the DF signed BM Damned #1s from Midtown get them?
The two signed versions have never shipped from Diamond and the date when I called yesterday had a place holder of December 2019 which today has been changed to TBD. I half suspect the $50 unsigned covers are the one’s that were supposed to be getting signed (JUL181786) and sold for $49.99 . Why pay an artist and send them to diamond wholesale when you can sell them unsigned for a penny more yourself.
I pre-ordered one, but have not gotten anything yet. Whenever I get it…….IF I get it I’ll let you guys know.
Venom #13 has now sold out at Diamond sometime last night. I had one more customer get an order in before they did yesterday late.
How does Naomi not have the #1 spot? And all 4 issues should be in the top 10, not just 2. This list always seems to be late on things and always has random issues that aren’t hot on there. How is some random Wolverine issue #1? I don’t get that.
I would love to know what they’re using for their criteria for the list myself. It’s certainly not % change, unit solds or value price. None of the stats they provide give any insight to what or how a book makes it into the list and how they land at the spot they’re on in the list.
It’s still a nice tool to see what’s moving one the secondary market but the ranking makes zero sense going by the numbers provided.
Yeah it’s definitely a good tool to have. I just like to know how some of these make it on there. I can’t think of any reason why that random Wolvie issue is #1.
E-mail them and they’ll reply with some gobblygoo about algorithms for hotness, stuff. I like the units sold list myself. You get a top 50 list with actual qtys sold.
Yeah that’s why I’m not going to email them lol. They should break it down into different categories.
I’ve emailed these guys 3 times now asking for information in regards to importing collections via a CSV file and its been crickets every time. I won’t subscribe to their service unless they can handle basic questions and respond. Basic customer service is fairly lacking I’m guessing. So good luck with that!
Probably proprietary info. But this question comes up every week. They have their algorithm. No way can you derive it from the info given. I’ve tried by going back through half a year’s data.

I actually had someone walk in looking for that Wolverine issue about 5 days ago which had already sold out so they must have had some inside info.
Naomi got the #2, 5, 6 & 10 spots in qty sold. Apparently a lot of She Hulk’s moved since the new series announcement taking #1. They also got #28 for Naomi 1B cover.
In other news, CBR is reporting that we’re getting a Savage Sword of Conan in Savage Avengers #3 to go with our Savage Venom which may have something to do with that ball of Venomlike goo in the FCBD Avengers issue coming out in 2 weeks.

Did you Weber read Top Ten from Alan Moore’s America’s Best Comics? There is an issue where the police are investigating a murder at a bar for Gods. They go through the investigation only to find the god has returned to life only to be murdered again. It happens over and over again. It was his “lot in life” after reading that issue a long time ago I stopped questioning deaths in comics.
No, still working my way through every superhero comic Marvel ever did. I’ve been stuck in the 80’s with Ironman for over a month now due to too much computer time. I get the comic thing since he’s got a Hulu show coming from the MCU version. I assume She-Hulk’s about to follow already looking a little slimmed down on the cover of July’s Avengers issues. I get the feeling Marvel is producing too many comics and they don’t have enough talent to make that many great, or even good in some cases. I wish they’d back off to maybe 75 issues a month like DC’s doing. It’s about 256 covers for Marvel just for July. There’s no wonder why stinkers like Major X #2 and all those lets just threaten that someone’s dead endings keep happening. Give me about 60 titles and maybe 120 covers max of better quality. i’ll still spend the same amount to keep the discount plateaus met.
For comparison purposes, DC is only going to have about 107 Covers for July. MAY190356 thru MAY190463
