Happy birthday tony! Seems like a big issue… I just ordered a bunch of cover A’s from Midtown. A’s are usually the winners but I’m now wondering if the in-hyuk lee B cover might be the one to get on this one…

New Savage Venom joins Savage Avengers. Make sure to pick up the Avengers/Savage Avengers FCBD issue for more developments and the Spiderman/Venom one for a shocker I still can’t explain.
Will do! That’s definitely A Jack O Lantern costume….but who is inside the pumpkin head?! Awesome!

You have an origin story for a new suit that’s not an alien symbiote.
New look and Savage attitude with Eddie Brock alone making the decisions, no voice in his head.
There was no Quantity Variants or any buzz Pre FOC to encourage over production and/or excessive store variants.
As near as I can tell based on the cover of 15 he’s going to be around for multiple issues.
He’s joining a team called Savage Avengers so he’ll be getting double the future exposure in two books now or they’ll turn Venom’s stories over more to the other Venom’s and symbiotes.
It’s SOLD OUT at Diamond.
Now it looks like just a matter of mycomicshop running out of copies or jacking up the price on the ones they have left as word gets around.
Dude, would you chill the f out. I get it, you got books to sell and want to make money off this new costume. But it aint gonna last. This War of the Realms tie-in is only 3 issues, and after that, everything goes back to the way it was in issue 12.
Not according to what I’ve seen so far. That’s next week’s spec talk though about Savage Carnage since that issues still 10 days out.

Savage Carnage….sounds like an oxymoron…
Call it what it is, but I don’t like this new iteration of venom. It looks dumb to me or maybe just needs a different artist to bring out the true nature… just an opinion. Story seems great though, as I don’t read this title.
Try this version from Venom 15.
It’s like none of the white is showing up on the suit in the shadows. If he’s going to be in two books between Venom and Savage Avengers he’ll probably have multiple artists taking a test drive with the look.
Here’s 14’s Summit Variant solicitation that says “NOT FINAL ART” so I’m expecting it might be changed to something “Savage” like.
Of side interest to keep in mind, Conan’s about to get a Savage Sword that appears to be Venomized in Savage Avengers #3.

How long you planning on living? Look back in about a month as the world of symbiotes continues to unfold new wrinkles and twists and exciting developments. I was out of comics entirely from 1991 to 2010 so this is my first dive into the world of symbiotes. This site might be about greed and money but there’s more to it than that. If you can have some fun in your 50’s, excite and interest a few new readers into entering an industry that’s been called everything from slumped to on deaths door one last time that’s the payoff. If we make a little green while on the ride that’s a side benefit to having encouraged a few new people, especially younger readers to hop on the train while it’s still got tracks underneath it. I figure whether the hobby survives or not, my rides got a clock ticking with a 10 to 15 year window left to enjoy anything. Enjoy it while you can, no meds needed!!!!
Well said BJ! I’m in my 60’s and I ain’t slowing down. Enjoy that comic ride like you’re sliding into home plate in the bottom of the ninth inning. Remember, just like in comics, it’s not the age, it’s the mileage!
Savage venom will be around for awhile until at least they cancel savage avengers. I myself am speculating that “savage” will take on a new host either in issue 16 or from the looks of it savage avengers 3. Either way it’s fun speculation and if I make a buck or two along the way then so be it … it’s why I read these and other forums.
With that said .. this issue is “savages” first appearance and origin story. Definitely worth picking up for cheap while you can.

The look of the “new” venom on the 13th spoiler panel is reminiscent of the Ultimate universe Venom. Very Bagley-esque.
So mycomicshop’s now raised their price to $7. That’s usually right before they run out of copies in the past?
Lack of news is almost news itself.
Marvel Mailer just in and Venom 13 didn’t make the list of books getting reprinted even though it’s sold out and they’ve reprinted every other issue so far.
GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY #4 hasn’t sold out and gets a 2nd.
Makes me wonder if they’re trying to delay it so it arrives with savage Venom on the cover after Venom 15 on Est Ship Date 6/12/2019
