Runners up:

#11
AVENGERS #12 (Marvel, 2011) More ENDGAME potential spoilers: Iron Man reportedly wields the Infinity Gauntlet (HIS version of it). He first did this, in comic form, in this issue. It sold 26 copies, had a 7-day trend of 246% and had a high sale of $29.99 for a raw copy.

#12
WEST COAST AVENGERS #9 (Marvel, 2019) Well here’s WCA #9. It should be on the TOP 10, but it got a late start. It sold 25 copies, had a 7-day trend of 258% and had a high sale of $34.95 for a raw copy.

#13
SPIDER-MAN/ DEADPOOL #47 (Marvel, 2019) Like with Major X on the TOP 10, he’s still hot and collectors still want his arguable cameo appearance. It sold 67 copies, had a 7-day trend of 93% and had a high sale of $39 for a raw copy.

#14
NAOMI #2 (DC, 2019) Even the 2nd issue is overcoming the B variant for #1, It sold 43 copies, had a 7-day trend of 146% and had a high sale of $36 for a raw copy.

#15
SAVAGE SHE-HULK #1 (Marvel, 1980) Sales are savage for She-Hulk. Rumors of her appearing on a Marvel Hulk TV show on the new Disney streaming site have made this a very in demand first appearance. It sold 54 copies, had a 7-day trend of 113% and had a high sale of $202.49 for a CGC 9.4.

#16
NAOMI #3 (DC, 2019) Naomi REALLY owns this list. It sold 47 copies, had a 7-day trend of 132% and had a high sale of $29.99 for a raw copy.

#17
THE INCREDIBLE HULK #377 (Marvel, 1991) MORE ENDGAME rumors. Professor Hulk has been shown in multiple leaks. Granted, this was one of the earliest speculated books… and it worked out. It sold 92 copies, had a 7-day trend of 52% and had a high sale of $225 for a CGC 9.8.

#18
AVENGERS #684 (Marvel, 2018) Hey IMMORTAL HULK, looks like Naomi has not only pushed you off the TOP 10, but almost off the runner ups as well! IMMORTAL IS slipping. It sold 47 copies, had a 7-day trend of 101% and had a high sale of $174.99 for a CGC 9.8.

#19
THE ETERNALS #11 (Marvel, 1977) This features the first appearance of another rumored addition to the MCU film; Druig, The Lord of Flames and Nightmares Jack Kirby. It sold 16 copies, had a 7-day trend of 245% and had a high sale of $325 for a CGC 9.8

#20
ULTIMATE FALLOUT #4 (Marvel, 2011) The first appearance of Miles Morales is still selling really well (but apparently NOT as good as Naomi. Sure, he only won an Oscar… but, whatever). It sold 33 copies, had a 7-day trend of 108% and had a high sale of $400 for a CGC 9.8.

      1. How do you get them? I get an email (sometime between 4pm Wednesday and Friday) which has the top 20 as well as a list of “movers and shakers.”

I just posted exactly what the email had minus the Ms&Ss and links.

  2. Flip Now or Later?

    Major X #2 Cover A
    Venom #13 Cover A (3 Copies)
    Naomi #1 Final Printing
    Naomi #2 Final Printing
    Naomi #3 Final Printing
    Naomi #4 (2 Copies)

    1. Since these are final printings you may want to wait until the week before issue 6 of Naomi comes out….let the flood of these reprints to subside and hype to build a bit more. Although I’m going to be posting my first prints of 2-4 with a final print of #1 tonight at my “force me to sell it to you” price and let it sit.

Hold major X and Venom. Unless you have ratio variants there’s not much profit to be made. Best to wait and see where it goes.

    2. Thats will depend on your own philosophies of flipping, Tony. A lot of people will tell you if you have multiples, sell one or two to recoup investment then sit and hold the rest w/ zero risk. If you dont have multiples, then thats where your flipping philosophies will have to take over. Spec books fall into one of 3 categories; 1) short term, 2) mid term and 3) long term. Generally, moderns fall into categories 1 & 2. If you believe in your books, then hold, if you do not believe in your books, then sell and dont look back.

    3. mycomicshops got Venom 13 parked at $7 holding down the E-Bay numbers until they sell out it looks like and all most people want to talk about right now is Avengers. I’m hoping this one starts to peak middle of next week after the movie distractions die down a bit and Savage Avengers #1 arrives which savage Venom isn’t in yet but will get some people thinking about what’s to come. I’m expecting next week to be a huge shipping week for Venom 13’s, DC’s Year of the Villain and DCeased.

If that doesn’t do it the FCBD issue should stir up some symbiote demand and the week after that WAR OF REALMS STRIKEFORCE WAR AVENGERS #1 arrives with Savage Venom part of that team as well it appears.

        1. I’m really terrible at keeping secrets, especially one’s that confuse me while exciting me at the same time.

          1. Reminds me of my 1st trip to the Red Light District in Frankfurt Germany in early 1988. Not quite sure how much to spend but I know it’s going to be memorable.

              1. Stationed in Germany for 2 years before, during and after the Wall came down. That’s roughly 100 weekends shopping for comics by day and memorable experiences by night whenever we weren’t in the field. That’s the time period I started putting my second comic collection together which ended up getting sold off after Desert Storm to help start out a new marriage’s expenses.

  3. Naomi’s gonna drop like a rock once her “shocking” identity is revealed. Unless she’s the Joker’s daughter, when was the last time a non-Batman DC character first app made any money as spec?

          1. Yeah, I noticed that stipulation right after I posted. All three are technically Batman, seeing as two are Suicide Squad Spec. The lesson here, me, is think before posting. Cheers, David.

              1. I came across a Green Lantern #21 1:25 sketch variant in the wild, last week, for $40. Its NM. I picked that up for Jessica Cruz spec. Ive already done very well with cover A of that book too.

    1. Don’t worry. Naomi is going to be revealed as the love child between Thomas Wayne and Nubia. Your Specs are safe!

  4. im guessing all the people her trying to play down Naomi are those that missed the boat or sold there copies at 25-30 dollars

    1. Im sure that there is definitely a considerable percentage that would fall under that umbrella, Kevin. ?

    2. Isn’t Naomi considered to be a freak/exception to the rule? The price for #1 feels waaaaaay too high and the difference between what the A and B covers of #1 are selling for is waaaay to big and the reprints with no major change to the cover art are selling for waaaay too much also. The trades to come should kill off the later printing demand for many people.

Clayton Cortez’s 1st appearance is a book worth having but his appearance as Weapon H the 1st time is much more pleasing and consistently pulling more money in sales even though now that some time has passed those sales have fallen off from triple digits to under $50 for most I’m looking at right now.

I would expect long term for something similar here once issue #5 is out that it becomes the comic of preference assuming she gets a superhero name to go with her new costume and origin.

Short term excitement may be causing a strange lack of common sense in spending right now but time and DC’s own tendency to fumble the ball over time whether it’s movies or comics should right the ship. Now if you want to help delay that until after I sell out of #5, #6 and any reprints that’s in my best interest but my best sale for TAH#22 was $45 and even though it went waaaaaay over that, that’s back where it’s at today.

      1. I still don’t get Naomi. Everybody is gaga over a random girl with no powers comic. I know she’s getting powers but still the first issues she’s just a normal person. My edge of Spiderverse 9.8 is worth more than my first appearance of Gwen Stacy 7.5 still to this day even though one is 50 years older. Thanks

        1. I agree with you. I just don’t get it either. But it will go away like all silly things do in a few months. That part I do get and it has been the methodology 95% of the time

        2. It is a logical fallacy to think that because one book is older than an another, that it then must be worth more.

      2. I believe there are 2 reasons why Naomi #1 will be the book to own, regardless of what issue she realizes her powers and super hero monicker.
1; Print run. I believe that issue #5 & #6 will have a higher print run than #1A (i am assuming approx 15,000 print run for cover A #1). I think that due to this discrepancy, that #1 will be the book to own for this character.
2; The book is called Naomi. Regardless of her super hero name, whatever it may be, Naomis 1st appearance is in Naomi #1. In your Clayton Cortez analogy, BJ, the Clayton character did not star in his own book called ‘Clayton’ before he received his powers. If Naomis powers turn out so that she turns into some outrageous monster who does not resemble Naomi in her human looking form, then perhaps the issue where those drastic monster like changes 1st occur will be sought after as her 1st powered appearance. But I dont think that will be the case.
