    1. Jane Foster is moving 100s of copies of books right now from her first appearance to her first appearance as Thor in what if cameos of the new Jane Thor in Deadpool vs Hawkeye #0 and Thor God of Thunder #25 and 100s of Thor #1 2014 in every cover. It’s insane on the eBay right now.

      1. i dont get the thor #1 her identity isnt shown till issue 8. people buying the cover without knowing the guts

        1. Yes but she picks up the hammer in #1 when Thor becomes unworthy so it’s her origin. And even though it’s only 7 panels she does have a full page reveal + she’s on the cover and even the back pages show her on the other covers for #1 and the cover for #2. But it’s another reason why her What If? 1st appearance is my favorite out of all the Jane Thor keys.

  1. What is her first appearance as “Ther”? Having a lot of trouble finding this out. Thor 2014 # 1?

  2. Thor #1 (shipped 10-1-2014) gets credit for 1st appearance the most even if she doesn’t get named until later. Hawkeye Deadpool 0 (shipped 9-3-2014) has some trick or treaters out for fun in the crowd so even though it isn’t considered to be her, it usually gets some attention around $10. Something happened in Thor God of Thunder 25 (shipped 9-17-2014) also that’s relevant enough to have me sell out by midnight last night.

  3. I read the first 8 issues of Jane’s run as Thor and after Secret Wars, I picked it back up and was off and on with it. I thought it was cool. I am going finish it with the trades at some point. I don’t expect this movie to be some serious epic. I thought the last Thor was cool. I enjoyed it. I imagine this movie will have the same formula as the last one.

My feelings about this are mixed. I get it but I still feel like Thor needs an epic. Not to mention, I was hoping we would get Sif back with a plausible explanation as why she has been gone for so long. I have to hand it to Marvel Studios. It is scary how good they are becoming at this. I sold or gave away all of my Lady Thor books. I am cool with trades. Not interested in flipping or anything like that. I feel like the spec and flip game is out of hand now and I just want to go back to being a fan again. I read what I like. I don’t stress out over what I didn’t pick up last Wednesday and ignore Youtube and Instagram. I sleep pretty good at night.

  4. Just sold a set of Thor 2014 1-8 plus an annual 1 for $100. Not bad for a series no one gave 2 scoots about a week ago. Most of my sales lately have been through the global shipping program. If you aren’t shipping globally you are missing out.

    1. About global shipping, what happens if the package gets lost after it leaves the US and the seller claims an item not received?

This makes me nervous. It’s one thing if you send it priority mail and the USPS loses it…not sure what’s covered after that.

USPS lost a book I had tracking on recently that was going global Shipping. I left it in my mail box with 3-4 other packages that same day. The others made it to their destination fine, but the lost book was never scanned.

Some day maybe global shipping will pick up the tracking #….

Kind of sucked because if they don’t scan it usps says you lost it…even if it’s priority. So now I bring all my books > $15 to USPS office to witness them getting scanned and get a receipt.

        1. That’s what you’re lead to believe…never had an issue though to know how much they protect the seller in these cases. Ebays track record for us transactions seems to heavily favor the buyer or they make you go through the shipping company to resolve issues…so that in and of itself causes me to question how easy they’d be to work with.

I’d like to know if anyone had had experiences with losing a package through the GSP to feel better about it.

I have used it, but I won’t ship books higher than $20 in value anymore.

        2. Yup, once it arrives at eBay shipping for them to prepare for international, it’s on them. If it’s lost, damaged, etc, eBay is on the hook.

I once sold a RAID Adapter and it went through the GSP. About two days after I shipped and it arrived, I get an email that the item was not allowed to that country (even though it was, not sure what eBay was thinking). The buyer contacted me asking if I knew anything cause he got the same email and that he was being refunded. I told him I got the same email and the transaction was okay, no refund required. The guy went ahead and bought another one from me, used the GSP and it went through without issue.

I think what really happened is they damaged it or lost it.

Now, when it comes to you shipping Internationally, it’s a headache. Most tracking stops after it leaves USPS. You have to pay a lot more to get tracking within the country you’re sending to. That’s why I use the GSP myself. Once I sent a another RAID card to the Ukraine and it specifically said it was for the adapter only, no cables, no manual, etc. Just the freaking RAID adapter. 2 weeks goes by and the buyer contacts me telling me the card is useless without cables. I quietly reminded him he should read the description more carefully. He tried to leave negative but eBay removed it as fast as he posted it since he failed to read the description and details. After that I never shipped international again on my own, it’s not worth the hassle unless it’s through GSP.

      1. Another GSP story to share…

I had a buyer who purchased a book from me write me a scathing message about my choice to use the GSP and how expensive and slow it was. Basically was calling me an idiot and I thought was going to leave me negative feedback (which would have been a first for me in 20 years).

Nothing came of it but I thought it was quite interesting how this person chose to purchase the book without doing the research into GSP, then blaming any issues he had with it on me. I guess he expected me to abandon The GSP and ship using international priority mail or something…never really looked into it..

        1. Don’t, shipping international on your own is risky. Most countries don’t even track packages so once it leaves USPS, you never know if it arrives. The ones that do track, last time I looked into it it was damn expensive. Next time someone asks you to go outside GSP, go quote the price and I”m sure it’s going to cost more than GSP.

          1. I only use Global shipping partner. eBay takes responsibility for the package once they receive it and I have never had an issue with a damage or return. (Knock on Wood)

        2. I refuse to buy any books from US sellers who use the GSP. The GSP, for shipments from US to Canada is incredibly expensive, and eBay charges a random import tax. I wanted a $20 book yesterday from a US seller. The GSP wanted to charge me an extra $9 ‘import’ fee. Its a made up cost. The GSP also does take forever when shipping to Canada. It can take 3-4 weeks using the GSP, while using USPS is half the cost and takes about one week. I am not speaking for overseas.

            1. I rarely shop online amymore regardless. Im a bin digger.

I dont use the GSP, and I dont ship overseas, but, my sales are split fairly even between ?? and ??. If I were to use the GSP for my US orders, I would need to charge upwards of $20. I currently charge $5, using USPS. Im sure that difference in shipping costs creates more sales for my lower end books.
