Final Order Cut-Off Highlights for 7/29/19

Final Order Cut-Off is the last day that shops can guarantee their orders for comics. After Final Order Cut-Off, or FOC, these books will only be available to retailers on Advance Reorder. And that is not guaranteed. So here are the highlights for Monday, 7/29/19’s FOC list.

MARVEL

Absolute Carnage vs Deadpool #1 – Absolute Carnage kicks off and there will be a ton of crossovers. I am digging the 1:25 Codex Variant with She-Venom on the cover

Absolute Carnage Miles Morales #1 – Another tie in with another CODEX Variant, this one by Luppachino.

CAPTAIN MARVEL #8 2ND PTG CARNERO NEW ART VARIANT – great new cover with the first cover appearance of Star.

IMMORTAL HULK #21 2ND PTG SORRENTINO VAR – Wow, 2nd printing of issue 21 has a great Sorrentino cover. Loving that the 2nd prints are getting some great covers this week.

Marvel Comics Presents #8 – Wolverine’s daughter storyline continues. The Sandoval variant seems to have Wolverine in a new and very different costume.

DC

BATMAN #232 FACSIMILE EDITION – Sweet reprint of the first appearance of Ras al Ghul

BAD RECEPTION #1 – Cool new series from Aftershock comics. It’s the celebrity wedding of the century, set in an undisclosed, remote location, with no access to wifi, cell phone reception or the outside world. But the dream wedding becomes a nightmare when, one by one, the guests are brutally slaugh-tered by a serial killer who brands his victims with a hashtag.

Big Hero 6 the Series #1 – Big Hero Six is back, but this time from IDW? Yup, IDW licenses out the Disney kids shows. Following the cartoon series this time.

Canto #3 – Fan favorite and hot series sees the release of its third issue.

Pretty Violent #1 – all-new ongoing, gore-filled, laugh-out-loud comedy for mature readers that explores one girl’s journey through the rift between personal and family identity.

Vampirella #1 – The awesome covers on the new Vampi series continues with the Artgerm cover. Will not miss this one.

Mountainhead #1 – Crazy looking new series from John Lees the writer of Sink. An exciting psychological thriller and horror story, all in one!

  1. I’m reversing my opinion on CM8second. It sounds plausible she could be in #1 of the series which implies a more long term plan to knock off a copy of Superman/Supergirl at work here. She may be around for a while so some Seconds may be needed long term if any interest develops to get all the #8’s out the door form the 1st Printing.
