Variants of the week 10/02/2019

At first I was going to try and keep this short… and then I got a good look at some of the books, which left me with this week with a whopping 19 books, 1 of them had sold out and looks promising as far as near term liquidity, but the rest are dealers choices . 4 are by known home-run hitting cover artist. 6 are character storyline driven 8 are indies; The rest are covers that I just want for the collection.

In my opinion this is the best cover this week, but this won’t sneak up on anyone like Batgirl#23.

Absolute Carnage Immortal Hulk #1 Cover B Incentive Dale Keown Codex Variant Cover.

Infection by democracy. I like it. a 1:25 variant high opening interest plus what happens inside makes this a no brainer sales pre-sales are at $50, I have zero confidence that this book will have any future implications for the Hulk, but this will make for a nice flip.

This one is a tough one as we try to figure out who Doc Justice is. His look is very similar to, Vance Astrovik, also known as Justice and formerly known as Marvel Boy.

Be-dammed whether you have it read this one wins my trippiest cover of the year award. Estimated print run:2,500, Opening interest: small quantities were moving, but they were a less than cover price 35. Pivot Point: Not enough Data.

No big expectations here, but then again I haven’t read this yet. This pick is more of a Parillo, cover hunt for me. The retail price is $50 but I know for a fact there should be copies available for less than half that.
