- DC house ad promoting Batman #92, focused on Punchline
- James Tynion IV press interview to discuss Punchline’s role in Batman #94, the prelude to “Joker War”
- Further information to come on Punchline’s origin story in Joker 80th Anniversary 100-Page Super Spectacular #1
Stay tuned for more on where to find Punchline next, as Batman heads towards “Joker War”!
They’re really going all-in on Punchline becoming popular.
Usually when company’s TRY to create hot characters they fizzle.
Tell that to The Batman Who Laughs..
Or Naomi..
BWL was sort of after he already emerged, it was almost half organically grown popularity from what I recall. Naomi was pushed but as regular marketing of the book but her prices are continuing to fall. A few weeks after her first book was released I was gobbling them up at $10 on the secondary market, it was a few weeks later they were selling over $100. Best secondary market purchases I’ve ever made to flip.
The last real big push where DC was leaking out newsletters before FOC was with Crush, which nobody cares about.
