Here’s the spotlight new books (and some trade/hardcovers/omnibuses) coming out of June for DC Comics.
Welcome to this weeks spec and drek. This is where we pick the winners each week we (or shall I say myself) think will be spec worthy, a great read or just cool looking art on the cover. I also dive into the pesky drek, the book you should probably avoid if you can or perhaps not invest so heavily into.

Previews gives us a glimpse of what’s to come. Here’s the spotlight new books coming out of March Previews for the DC.
Fortnite is coming to Batman. No surprise, Batman was in Fortnite a season or two ago, they did a special Joker/Poison Ivy pack over the holidays that went well. Ok, you guys are not excited yet, I get it. So why should you take the chance on the book? I mean after all, not like the Fortnite Marvel variants are selling for that much. No, the reason isn’t a variant, the reason isn’t even the story, the reason is below, from the solicitation… Continue reading “Batman Fortnite Zero Point #1 Why You Should Pay Attention to This Book”

Welcome to this weeks spec and drek. This week looks a little more promising than the depressing last week for new comics.
Seems like a few websites are reporting that Bane could be coming back to the Batman movies with the possibility of him getting a solo movie.
Is anyone having CHU spoiler withdrawal symptoms? Didn’t realize how much I miss them myself. Maybe some quick spoilers will help cheer you up since all new comic news sort of ceased since the COVID-19 shutdowns of businesses.
So I’ve spoiled the Harley vs Punchline pages from Batman #93 a couple of weeks back. By now we were suppose to have Batman #92 in our hands but due to the Diamond shutdown and current government lockdowns, who’s to know when these will reach the masses.
Regardless, here’s the few panes where we learn the true identity of new guy that calls himself The Designer that was waiting for Batman in his own study in Wayne Manor at the end of Batman #92 that was spoiled a few weeks back as well.
Continue to see the unseen spoilers now..

This weeks book I actually got a hold of a digital preview that I need to read but it’s a book I’m still likely going to pick up.
We shouldn’t just collect or flip books, we should also read them. A good story can make your purchase well worth the money spent if you ask me. After all, we buy books to read for entertainment right? Even if you can’t flip them, reading is just as rewarding.
