This weeks book I actually got a hold of a digital preview that I need to read but it’s a book I’m still likely going to pick up.
We shouldn’t just collect or flip books, we should also read them. A good story can make your purchase well worth the money spent if you ask me. After all, we buy books to read for entertainment right? Even if you can’t flip them, reading is just as rewarding.
It’s that time again, where I tell you what’s really grinding my gears for the week of May 29th, 2019.
Some weeks it’s mostly likes, other weeks it’s dislikes.
So what’s grinding my gears this week?
Fifty-Two years ago, long before a majority of us were even born, a girl joined forces with one of the most well known and earliest superheroes.

Phoenix Comic Fest (formerly Phoenix Comicon) took place over the Memorial Day weekend. 2017 was a rough year for the event: staffing issues, near shooting incident, and taking on SDCC over the use of ‘comic con’ name. That’s all in the past now and they have revamped the con for 2018 in many ways. It’s tax day here in America, actually by the time this posts, it’s almost too late so I hope everyone paid their taxes on time or the taxeth man a cometh for you! Hopefully you all overpaid throughout last year and will use your refunds all on new comics, cause that’s what I’d do if I was getting a refund.

Alan Moore’s classic Batman story, The Killing Joke, is getting made into an animated film. The some times over the top Joker story is really considered one of the seminal Joker stories.
