  1. This is not related to the above: some may be aware but I thought I would share regardless. Preorders launched for a new spider-man vs. venom pop ask 316 homage around 10 days ago. Supposedly retailers have to order x number of pop figures to get one copy of PX Venom #25 Pop Variant Cover comic.

Prices at retailers are pretty high. Sanctum is sold out at $64 per comic. Yet they are offering CGC 9.8 for $199. I saw the ebay listings of 79.99 for just the comic. However if you go to entertainmentearth.com, you can preorder the figure for $34 or the figure plus comic for $44. I believe estimated release is May.

If your interested I would take advantage, otherwise you will probably get boned hard if you wait until May and will probably pay high for just the comic. Take it for what it’s worth.

    1. Crickets on that one, but that’s ok. Wanted to mention this as I was pondering the May Solicits. So Sacred Six is being released in May by dynamite. Supposedly it involves a Vampirella dream team of six characters. Victory, Nyx, Lilith, Pantha, Chasity, and an unknown sixth.

It’s important to note that Victory is a new character but it want be a first in this issue. She was first seen in Vampirella vol 8 #1. She was first named in Vampirella #2 and was first in costume in #5. As of issue #8 she has yet to show any vampire powers.

Supposedly Victory is a reimagining of Draculina. Besides not being a sister to Vampi anymore she is also Black.

The other change is a new Pantha. It is unclear about her race as far as I can tell, however she will maintain the panther form as default and change to human form . This is opposite of the original Pantha.

Nyx, Chasity, and Lilith will remain unchanged as far as I can tell.

I know all of Vampirella titles are giant print runs, however their is usually a more sought after cover or two.

      1. Note on Victory: depending on whether or not you consider previews first appearances, she actually appears, is named in costume, and is a vampire in Vampirella #0 50th Anniversary FCBD.

    2. Hmmmm…I have quite a few of the Venom variants. Not a master set or anything but this is intriguing. I wonder what the final print run will be for the comic? The Pop is pretty cool.

      1. I was wondering this as well. Also would like to know if this is going to be the only way to obtain it. I read somewhere that retailers have to order 6 figures for every one comic but not sure how much truth there is to that.

        1. The comic stores around me that sell Pop’s don’t sell tons of them so if that six per is accurate that would probably equate to a fairly small number considering not every shop that orders will want six. I’m just guessing though. I have no idea the average print run of Pops so who knows.Seems like it would be somewhat rare as long as it is a Pops only exclusive which it seems to be.

I am a personal friend of Hugh Gallagher, who created and published Draculina .. if you have additional / substantive information on the use of his character, Hugh and I would appreciate it, since this is news to him ..

        1. Thanks, I sent Hugh the link .. I don’t think he or I quite understand why Dynamite would use the name Draculina in a solicitation / preview .. whether or not the Dynamite character bears any resemblance to the original Draculina ..

          1. No problem. Not quite sure either. Doesn’t appear to be any real similarities at all. Im just guessing and hoping they are not sisters, being that they have been doing the dirty together.
Maybe the writer just got some inspiration from Draculina. Who knows.

  3. Its amazing how what goes around comes around in comics. I missed getting ASM 252 for $5 by a minute at a con once, and a vendor sold me ASM 361 for $5. I thought it was a crummy consolation prize, but not it’s on the rise. I’m just sorry I tossed my silver 2nd prints of 361 and 362, who would ever think 2nd prints would be worth anything! “Variant” my foot.

Sorry for your loss, I’ve had a hard time myself recently and I can tell you have a good heart. I like how you and Poyo never jump down anyone’s throat like all the other nasty comic sites, a little kindness does indeed go a long way.

    1. We are really just trying to foster good comic book conversation. Sometimes people come on and try to stir trouble but we don’t let it get out of hand. All are welcome no matter what group they are in. We just want people who love comics, be it as a collector, a reader, a speculator, a flipper, or even a retailer.

      1. “Sometimes people come on and try to stir trouble”

It’s okay Anthony, you can refer to such people as trolls…. They do exist and they mostly seek anonymity on the internet.

        1. It’s unfair to real trolls to call internet trouble makers trolls. Most trolls have trouble getting WiFi under their bridges while message bird trolls have no problems getting WiFi in their mother’s basement.

              1. I am chu’s bad boy.#testify I am the troll the hobbit and I am not safe for work love you all blind adam out

  4. “5. AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #361 – first appearance of Carnage. The pictures of Woody Harrelson pictures have gotten eyes again on this book. It sold 30 copies at an average raw price of it sold 30 copies at $43.66”

Well that is a train wreck of a paragraph lol
