It is not single issues, but the direct market is starting up again, without Diamond, as Boom has announced Trade paper backs and graphic novels will be released to retailers through Simon and Schuster. This news follows DC Comics announcing earlier that they would go through two different distributors.
And they are giving retailers incentive to buy from them as they are offering 15% in addition to retailers discount through Diamond.
