Blind Adam’s Hidden Gems Vol. 123

Greetings my Comics Heating Up family. Hope you had a safe 4th of July and came back with all your fingers. I hear since many places canceled fireworks many neighborhoods sounded like war zones with all the illegal fireworks going off. Now lets make some money with comics because you can’t teach that.

Detective Comics #482 – last pre crisis appearance of Batmite. I have been watching Batman Brave and the old, and I love Batmite, but Mr. Batmite… awesomesauce is my word my phrase why did you use it? Batmite stole my catch phase

JSA #11 (2000 series) – Courtney Whitmore the Stargirl meets the original Starman. If your not watching Stargirl then your missing out. All of her key books are going up in price I really believe on the show they will make Ted Knight her father and this book will be desired #testify $1-5

Infinity Inc. #19 – first Beth Chapel, the second Dr Midnight. More CW Stargirl speculation. This is a character close to my heart. She is blind and I love the googles she uses on the show. This is her first appearance, has a cover and art by Todd McFarlane, and is mad cheap so go hunting

J Scott Campbell Gen 13 Portfolio – Ok these are not comics but comic related. Once upon a time J Scott Campbell used to draw comics, not just the covers but the interiors too. This set was put out in 1994, was limited to 3,000 sets, and featured J Scott Cqmpbell’s covers for Gen 13. A second set was done in 1995 but had a print run of 5,000 copies. These would be cool to get signed at a con if they ever happen again and have framed.

Amazing Spider-man #61 – Spider-man vs the Kingpin. This is the issue where Gwen Stacey and Norman Osborn make mad goblin love. This is the issue that leads into the most infamous, the greatest Gwen Stacey story of all time… Sins Past in Amazing Spider-man #509-512. This issue is where the events of Sins Past take place in Spiderman history. Am I the only person in Spider-man fandom that loves Sins Past? $10-50

Archie #410  -This is the infamous ‘snowjob’ cover featuring Betty and Ronnie with a snowman giving a making comments to Archie about a snowjob. I love Archie’s unintended inappropriateness. The most famous being Betty and Me #16 and that my friends is why you should love America $10

Ultimate Spider-man #60 – first Ultimate Carnage. Carnage is the new Venom. Venom 2, let there be Carnage. Absolute Carnage was an epic story. Fans loved insane villians but the ultimate version’s first appearance is still super cheap $1-5

Superior Spiderman #17, #18, #19 – so it looks as if my homie Mickey Mouse wants a Spiderman 2099 show. Well most people will chase ASM #365 and Spidey 2099 #1. If your like Blind Adam you will drink a sip of the bubbly and go after the Toybiz Variant of Spiderman 2099 #1 the white cover. My advice, leave that in the action figure package sell it with the figure. Spiderman 2099 ended with #47 which is a tough final issue. He made appearances in Exiles #75 and #99. He reappeared in Superior Spiderman #17, #18, #19 which led into a second 2099 series that lasted twenty five issues. All are cheap, many have great Mattina covers. Superior Spiderman is popular but not hard to find outside of certain variants. This is the time to be buying Spiderman 2099 Spiderverse 2 in theaters and a new show happy hunting

Thanks again for reading

Blind Adam out.

  1. One of the better “unintended porn” references for the Archie Franchise is #271 (IMO). These can still be found in the wild…

  2. Infinity inc #12 is also underpriced and could found in dollar bins – 1st Wildcat which is Stargirls friend on the show.
