Greetings my Comics Heating Up family. Hope your August is safe and that your all well and healthy. Not going to spoil but the Robin King is #awesomesauce. Stargirl is amazing as well. Now lets make the money with comics cause you can’t teach that.
1. Mister Miracle #17 – Wow. Just wow. I saw this on Facebook and was floored. These are pure #Awesomesauce. Look in the lower left corner. Is that Mr. Glass, aka Elijah Price, aka Samuel L. Jackson, from Unbreakable, Split, and Glass? Sure looks like him. Not an official first appearance but a damn cool coincidence. $3.99 and up
2. Detective Comics #41 – Joker covers are highly collectible. This one was part of the New 52 series of Detective Comics and has a cool combination of Joker’s trade mark mouth and the Batman symbol. $3.99 and up, cheap.
3. Venom #6 Scorpion Comics Variants – These are pretty cool and cheap. I found them while looking for Variants for the Donny Cates series of Venom. These are from the Lee Price run but are cool grabs, cheap. 4. Avengers #196 Toybiz Marvel Legends Variant – the first Taskmaster is on fire. Hey Disney can you please put the black widow movie on Disney plus? I think Taskmaster will be a break out star of the movie. The first print of this book is now triple digits, so this is a cheap pick up. If you find it mint on card with the figure leave it in the package as opening these Marvel Legends screws with the comic #testify $10-25
5. Harley Quinn #1 Mexican photo cover – I found this book while searching for Harley Quinn photo covers and I think it is perfect for signature series with Margot. I also really like the Empire Magazine and Popcorn Time Magazine with nice looking Harley Quinn photo covers. There is also that AMC Theater Reprint of Harley Quinn #1 given out at the opening weekend of Harley Quinn and the Birds of Prey. Harley Quinn is the face of the DCEU and that is #awesomesauce happy hunting
6. Batman #375 and 376 – Bruce Wayne adopts Jason Todd. I beleive in Jason Todd and I love that Death in the Family trailer plus Redhood is just amazing $5 and up
7. Battle Pope #1 – first professional work by Mr. Walking Dead Robert Kirkman. This is so undervalued and so much fun nuff said $5-20
Those venom 6s are nice. Can’t have too many venom 6s stashed away. Although I’m not into the sketches or negative covers.
Anyone have any idea what the “advertised” copies made available on this book was? I keep,forgetting about scorpion comics…doesn’t come up in web searches for online comic shops.
Maybe they fell during the lockdown…
I always thought that character in Mister Miracle looked like Samuel L Jackson! Hilarious!
