CovrPrice Runners-Up for 8/14/20

As promised, the Covrprice.com runners-up list. Think of this as the second half of the top 20.

#11 BATMAN THE ADVENTURE CONTINUES #2 (DC, 2020)

This was a surprise entry on the list as many weren’t paying attention to this first appearance of Deathstroke’s apprentice/sidekick “Sunny”. As you can tell by now, this market LOVES new appearances… even if it’s out of continuity (this series is based on the revived BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES). We all know that publishers easily weave characters like this into the core universe. So, this is definitely one to watch! It sold 16 copies, had a 7-day trend of 219% and had a high sale of $30 for a raw copy.

#12 WONDER WOMAN #759 JIM LEE COVER B (DC, 2020)

The first appearance of the unnamed “Liar Liar” is still selling well for this B variant. It sold 22 copies, had a 7-day trend of 158% and had a high sale of $26 for a raw copy.

#13 VENOM #25 2ND PRINT (MARVEL, 2020)

Folks LOVE a good subsequent printing these days. Add to this 2nd print the 1st cameo of Virus and boom, you have a book that’s only moving up in price. It sold 26 copies, had a 7-day trend of 112% and had a high sale of $149.99 for a CGC 9.8.

#14 BATMAN #96 JIMENEZ 1:25 CLOWNHUNTER VARIANT (DC, 2020)

This first appearance of CLOWNHUNTER has a nice uncomplicated first appearance in this issue and also appears on the cover with this design variant. After Punchline, a first like this is a breath of fresh air. Now, will this character turn out to be anything long-term? It sold 39 copies, had a 7-day trend of 68% and had a high sale of $49.95 for a raw copy.

#15 MILES MORALES SPIDER-MAN #1 4TH PRINTING (IMAGE, 1992)

We had to double-check these sales. This 4th print is quietly jumping in price. Granted, it does have an awesome Rhino cover. It sold 10 copies, had a 7-day trend of 246% and had a high sale of $36.98 for a raw copy. (Find on eBay) (Find on MCS)

#16 AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #365 (MARVEL, 1992)

The first appearance of Spider-Man 2099 is starting to pick up in price. It sold 12 copies, had a 7-day trend of 205% and had a high sale of $44 for a raw copy.

#17 ULTIMATE FALLOUT #4 (MARVEL, 2011)

Miles is doing JUST fine. While sales have decreased, its market price is sticking strong (Get it… cause he sticks to things). It sold 20 copies, had a 7-day trend of 101% and had a high sale of $1,200 for a CGC 9.8.

#18 VENOM #3 (MARVEL, 2018)

This first appearance Knull is also not going anywhere. If anything, it’s just getting started. It sold 22 copies, had a 7-day trend of 93% and had a high sale of $405 for a CGC 9.8.

#19 SPAWN #1 (IMAGE, 1992)

Spawn #1 remains COVRPRICE’s most consistent selling book. Like most weeks, it sold 24 copies, had a 7-day trend of 89% and had a high sale of $139.99 for a CGC 9.8.

#20 STRANGE ACADEMY #1 (IMAGE, 1992)

Strange Academy #1 may hold the last spot here, but it will absolutely be at the top again. It’s just steady as it goes right now with 25 copies sold, had a 7-day trend of 88% and had a high sale of $260 for a CGC 9.8.
