#11 SOLID BLOOD #17 (IMAGE, 2020) This CROSSOVER special release fell from #1 last week to #11 this week. While it still sold 79 copies, sales dropped significantly from its initial $50 market price, then to a steady $30 last week to it’s $11 average this week with a 7-day trend of 73%. It did have a high sale of $28 for a high grade raw copy. However, due to a flooded marketplace, it became a buyers market as sellers competed to move their copies by dropping prices.

(*Also, we had a correction from last week’s newsletter. Solid Blood #17 was not a one per store comic, rather stores received a number of copies based on their order volume. Thanks to CovrPrice members for reaching out with this correction)

#12 GREEN LANTERN #25 (DC, 2007) Collectors are slowly preparing for the HBO Max GREEN LANTERN show. Two highly anticipated characters are Larfleeze (Orange Lantern) & Atrocitus (Red Lantern), who’s first appearances are in this issue. It sold 17 copies, had a 7-day trend of 138% and had a high sale of $230 for a CGC 9.8.

#13 THOR GOD OF THUNDER #2 (MARVEL, 2012) The Disney Investor summit confirmed that Christian Bale will play the villain Gorr, the God Butcher in THOR: LOVE & THUNDER. Out of all the hot books, this received the most attention and excitement, causing prices to skyrocket. This week it sold 24 copies, had a 7-day trend of 97% and had a high sale of $475 for a CGC 9.8.

#14 SPAWN #1 (IMAGE, 1992) For years, SPAWN #1 has been an easy $100 9.8. However, over the past few months, it’s been increasing in both sales and overall value. This week, it sold 24 copies, had a 7-day trend of 97% and had a new high sale of $169 for a CGC 9.8.

#15 STAR WARS #1 (MARVEL, 1977) Pre-Mandalorian, a CGC 9.6 would have cost you around $500. Flash forward to 2020, where STAR WARS is the hottest property out there. Of course, the go-to first issue would see steady gains. Based on the boom of upcoming content, this is an excellent book to find and hold. This week, it sold 25 copies, had a 7-day trend of 84% and had a high sale of $1,225 for a CGC 9.6.

#16 STAR WARS X-WING ROGUE SQUADRON #1 (DARK HORSE, 1995) Wonder Woman 1984’s Patty Jenkins will direct a new Rogue Squadron film, set to release in Dec. 2023. Speculation is leaning towards this series featuring the original squad, giving this first Rogue Squadron series a nice bump in sales and price. It sold 23 copies, had a 7-day trend of 81% and had a high sale of $70 for a raw copy.

#17 AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #361 (MARVEL, 1992) This month, this first full appearance of Carnage hit new highs. It sold 14 copies, had a 7-day trend of 126% and had a high sale of $700 for a CGC 9.8 (granted a week ago it sold for $705… so maybe more of a steady new high sale).

#18 TEEN TITANS ENDLESS WINTER SPECIAL #1 (DC, 2020) This issue features the first appearance of Summer Zahid (a young girl whose metagene was activated during the Frost King’s invasion) who is thought to appear in DC’s Future State. This first sold 11 copies, had a 7-day trend of 162% and had a high sale of $13.50 for a raw copy.

#19 STAR WARS #68 (MARVEL, 1983) This issue re-introduces Boba Fett which includes his origin and the 1st appearance of the Mandalorians. It sold 12 copies, had a 7-day trend of 141% and had a high sale of $500 for a CGC 9.4.

#20 DAREDEVIL #25 LASHLEY KNULLIFIED VARIANT (MARVEL, 2020) While the main copy hangs on to a spot in the TOP 10, this variant is JUST about to fall off. It sold 16 copies, had a 7-day trend of 103% and had a high sale of $34.99 for a raw copy.

  1. I thought Patty Jenkins body of work in the 1st Wonder Woman was just wonderful. A diamond in the rough for DC movies (generally speaking).
Then I watched Wonder Woman 1984 last night.

Suffice to say – I am now really really concerned about Rogue Squadron. That WW 1984 was a train wreck. An utter and complete train wreck. My gosh – I didn’t think it was possible to go from one end of the spectrum to the other so quickly.

  2. That’s what I have been hearing too. Awful. The first movie was great! What happened? Patty Jenkins? I don’t know anything about her.

    1. I dunno. I am actually shocked being it’s both Patty Jenkins. We’ve all heard the stories that “the 2nd movie wasn’t as good as the 1st”. But this was not even close. Opposites ends of the spectrum. I can’t think of two movies being that far apart for the same character AND same Director. There are times there are substantial differences, but this was just dumb. And the special effects? – it was like 1984 special effects. Maybe it was purposeful? I sure hope so.
      So disappointed
