Comic Picks of the Week for Delivery 9/29/21

Every week, hundreds of new books hit the stands, each with potential. We pick the ones we think have the best shot at heating up. Here are the picks of the week for delivery this Wednesday

The dreaded Fifth Week edition. The fifth week is just that, the fifth Wednesday of the month, where publishers do not put out their normal releases as to not mess up their publishing schedule. Anyway, here is what is on tap.

Turbo Kid Apples Lost Adventure #1 – ton of great covers on this new Behemoth series. Kang The Conqueror #1 2nd Ptg Variant – this has been surprisingly good.

One to Watch
Deathstroke Inc #1 – loving the Adam Hughes Cover and the Foil Team Variant, not to mention the Mattina Killer B, anyway, covers aside, this brings Deathstroke back to life (again) and sets him up with a new career path, enlisted to work with an ages-old secret organization called T.R.U.S.T. who want to take down the heavy-hitter villains.

Small Press Pick of the Week
Hard Case Crime Gun Honey #1 – Already optioned for a TV show, super-sexy spy story. The Hughes cover is worth the price of admission alone. The 1:10 Sienkiewicz variant is still available. And, has already gone back to a 2nd Print.

Pick of the Week
Amazing Spider-Man #74 – Nick Spenser’s run comes to an end, lots of reveals happen. We get a look at what has been going on since Brand New Day. This is setting up big changes for the Spider-Man series in this, the 875th issue of ASM.
