Axe Death to Mutants #1 (of 3) has Kieron Gillen at writing duties, who I normally enjoy. Can’t beat an Ribic cover either. It’s an event book so I’m not going crazy but sometimes these have surprises or firsts within that become worthy. Just hoping for a good read though, that’s at least minimum we can ask for since most event stories end up lacking severely.

Axe Death to Mutants #1 (of 3) (Leinil Yu Variant)

Axe Death to Mutants #1 (of 3)

Axe Judgment Day #1 (of 6) is the main event title. I enjoy Mark Brooks covers but like the tie-in story mentioned previously, hoping for a decent story out of these events and they hardly “define” the summer or whatever like the solicitations claim so please Gillen, please WOW us!

Axe Judgment Day #1 (of 6) (Werneck Women of Axe Variant)
Axe Judgment Day #1 (of 6) (Momoko Variant)
Axe Judgment Day #1 (of 6) (Gleason Variant)
Axe Judgment Day #1 (of 6) (Ron Lim Variant)

Also issue #2 is in previews and I must say, the regular Brooks cover for #2 is pretty badass.. see below.

Axe Judgment Day #2 (of 6)
Axe Judgment Day #2 (of 6) (Lubera Variant)
Axe Judgment Day #2 (of 6) (Reilly Window Shades Variant)
Axe Judgment Day #2 (of 6) (Momoko Variant)
Axe Judgment Day #2 (of 6) (Witter Men of Axe Variant) – Curious to see how this one comes out as I really enjoy Witter’s art.

Axe Judgment Day #1 (of 6)

Axe Judgment Day #2 (of 6)

Avengers 1000000 Bc #1 has my attention cause I think Aaron has done the best job writing Thor so I’m curious as to see how he comes up with Thor’s birth origin in this one shot title.

Avengers 1000000 Bc #1 (Horley Variant) – This cover is on fire, we need more Horley variants!! ??
Avengers 1000000 Bc #1 (Young Variant)
Avengers 1000000 Bc #1 (Stegman Prehistoric Homage Variant)

Avengers 1000000 Bc #1

Horley Variant:
Avengers 1000000 Bc #1 (Horley Variant)

Avengers #58 solicits Ghost Ronin, the Samurai of Vengeance. I love it! I know it’s just another character based off existing but this shit I can get into since I like samurai’s and being a Ghost Rider fan. Bring it on, I already want a Ghost Ronin solo title!

Avengers #58 (Liefeld Deadpool 30th Variant)
Avengers #58 (Gist Predator Variant)

Avengers #58

Speaking of Samurai’s, Demon Wars Iron Samurai #1 (of 4) might be a worthy checkout as Peach I think has been delivering on these titles she both draws and writes.

Demon Wars Iron Samurai #1 (of 4) (Momoko Variant)
Demon Wars Iron Samurai #1 (of 4) (Gurihiru Variant)
Demon Wars Iron Samurai #1 (of 4) (Bergara Variant)
Demon Wars Iron Samurai #1 (of 4) (Scalera Variant) – Interested to see how Scalera’s variant comes out.
Demon Wars Iron Samurai #1 (of 4) (Yagawa Variant)
Demon Wars Iron Samurai #1 (of 4) (Maleev Variant)
Demon Wars Iron Samurai #1 (of 4) (Ramos Variant)

Demon Wars Iron Samurai #1 (of 4)

Fortnite players will be seeking these out as Fortnite X Marvel Zero War #2 (of 5) continues with the redemption codes for cosmetic game stuff. These could be flip worthy as well but you’ll have to acknowledge they’re not gonna make you rich. And always, sell the book and advertise the code as bonus to prevent yourself from getting scammed out of the code!

Fortnite X Marvel Zero War #2 (of 5) (Medina Variant)
Fortnite X Marvel Zero War #2 (of 5) (Zullo Variant)
Fortnite X Marvel Zero War #2 (of 5) (Ron Lim Variant)

Fortnite X Marvel Zero War #2 (of 5)

Ghost Rider #6 has had some pretty cool regular covers.

But I’m really looking forward to Ghost Rider #6 (Barends Variant). His style could really make some pretty bad ass Ghost Rider covers.

Ghost Rider #6

Iron Cat #2 (of 5) continues. Is this going to catch on and be a thing? Maybe but I don’t have any gut feelings that it will since I don’t even think Black Cat is the type of character that even deserves a solo title. But it’s still worthy of checking out because the comic industry now works in mysterious ways (see Gwen Pool).

Iron Cat #2 (of 5) (Artist Variant)
Iron Cat #2 (of 5) (Mayhew Predator Variant)

Iron Cat #2 (of 5)

Genis-Vell Captain Marvel #2 (of 5) makes my list cause I’m a sucker for a cool Thanos cover and also a sucker for covers that have reflections in the eyes of what’s coming…

Genis-Vell Captain Marvel #2 (of 5)

Moon Knight #13 kicks off a new arc.

For you Gist fans, Moon Knight #13 (Gist Variant).

Moon Knight #13

It’s not listed on TFAW for some odd reason but Predator #1 is a much anticipated title I think a lot are looking forward to. You can likely find this for pre-order at other online shops or your local shop.

Spider-Punk #4 (of 5) continues. Some of these covers have been great so far. I have yet to read, waiting for them all to hit the MU app.

Spider-Punk #4 (of 5) (Clarke Variant)

Spider-Punk #4 (of 5)That’s it from me. There could be more listed but I think a lot of them are more filler and reader books for the most part, only perhaps heating up as potential spec if they got some surprise firsts within. Browse the rest of May Marvel Previews at TFAW if you dare!
