FOC Highlight Books for Last Call December 4th/5th, 2022

FOC is the last chance to put in your orders with your comic shops and likely get at a discount for pre-ordering. Here’s a few of the highlights for this Halloween Week!

Marvel has a bigger list of books making my FOC list this week to kick things off with a lot of 2nd prints coming down the pipeline….

The first print quickly sold out at most retailers, with Hallows Eve making her debut in Amazing Spider-Man #14.

Now we get the Amazing Spider-Man #14 (2nd Ptg Dodson Variant)

This one is for the cover, a classic cover that will never get boring in my opinion for Visions First Appearance in Avengers #57, which I must say looks like it’s back down in the more affordable range for lower grade copies. Might be a good time to buy if you need this classic in your personal collection. If you still can’t afford it, buy the homage below for now:

Avengers Forever #13 (Larraz Classic Homage Variant)

Avengers Forever #13 (Demonized Variant) is a themed variant but it’s actually pretty kick ass I think for another Avengers Forever book.

Another classic homage variant for Invincible Iron Man #2 (Ribic Classic Homage Variant). I just love Ribic’s art and style. It’s a must for me!

I’m also digging these regular covers for Invincible Iron Man #2 as well, done by Kael Ngu. Iron Heart fans will likely seek this one out.

This is just a bad ass cover for Spider-Man Lost Hunt #3 (of 5) (Suayan Variant). TFAW I think has the cover wrong as they still have it as TBA status for the cover artist and still show the regular cover for #3 from the second issue. But I believe this is the correct one if ordering since the SKU matches with Diamond/Penguin.

And here’s the few Star Wars books that are getting second prints that might be worthy:

Star Wars Revelations #1 (2nd Ptg) – Not that special, no artwork change from regular first print.

Star Wars Yoda #1 (2nd Ptg) – This one more special, new art and it’s actually pretty kick ass. I like how they made the #1 green too.

Creepshow #2 (of 5) (2nd Ptg) is first of all a pretty kick ass cover for the second printing and this series has just been good fun.

Many Deaths of Laila Starr HC Deluxe Ed makes the cut this FOC. It’s a hardcover edition but it’s a highly recommended read I think.

One of my all time favorite creators who doesn’t do enough work I think comes Mosely #1 (of 5) (Cover A – Lotfi). Might be a worthy pickup for the read and art.

Mosely #1 (of 5) (Cover B – Guillory)
Mosely #1 (of 5) (Cover C – Foil Guillory)

I like a good Joker cover, so Batman & the Joker the Deadly Duo #3 (of 7) (Cover C – Jason Shawn Alexander Joker Card Stock Variant) makes my list this round.
