This issue is related to the rumor that Channing Tatum has been tapped to appear as Gambit in the Deadpool 3 film. An important note to make is that this book marks the second appearance of Gambit. X-MEN ANNUAL #14 is the true first appearance (in which Gambit appears in 15 panels and exchanges dialogue).
