Previews gives us a glimpse of what’s to come. Here’s the spotlight for new books (and some trade/hardcovers/omnibuses) coming out of January for Marvel.
We’ll kick this off with the Star Wars titles. These prove worthy over time with new characters being introduced, so hard not to pick up a copy of each even if you aren’t an active reader.

Star Wars High Republic #6 (David Lopez Variant)
Star Wars High Republic #6 (Dustin Nguyen Variant)
Star Wars High Republic #6 (Master Apprentice Variant)
Jango Fett #1:
Star Wars Jango Fett #1 – Gets his own series. Might be worthy of a pickup for any Bounty Hunter fan.
Star Wars Jango Fett #1 (Derrick Chew Variant) – The better cover I think over the regular.
Star Wars Jango Fett #1 (Aka Womens History Month Variant)
Star Wars Jango Fett #1 (Movie Variant)
Mace Windu #2:
Star Wars Mace Windu #2 – The last series had some worthy issues that are seeked out, we might see the same with this volume. Make sure to pick up Star Wars Mace Windu #1 as well.
Star Wars Mace Windu #2 (Darboe Womens History Month Variant)
Obi-Wan Kenobi #6:
Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi #6
Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi #6 (Hans Womens History Month Variant) – Pretty slick looking Hans variant…
Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi #6 (Erica Durso Variant)
Thrawn Alliances #3:
Star Wars Thrawn Alliances #3 – Thrawn has his followers and fan base, so it’s a must. Most of the previous Thrawn titles have gone on to rise in value over time. You can still pre-order Star Wars Thrawn Alliances #1 and Star Wars Thrawn Alliances #2 currently.
Star Wars Thrawn Alliances #3 Annie Wu Womens History Month
It seems kind of silly but Kid Venom #1 is coming and I’m sure a lot will eat this one up. I do like the cover though… except the tongue! Can we stop already with the tongue when it comes to Venom all you artists out there? Just getting a little ridiculous now… Kid Venom Origins #1 is out this coming week on January 3rd.
Kid Venom #1 (Gerardo Sandoval Foil Variant) – Everyone loves Foil, especially D-Rog… he’s a sucker though!
Kid Venom #1 (Inhyuk Lee Variant)
Kid Venom #1 (Philip Tan Homage Variant)
Kid Venom #1 (Whilce Portacio Variant)
Kid Venom #1 (Inhyuk Lee Vir Variant)
Really dig the Alex Ross cover for Immortal Thor #8.
Black Widow and Hawkeye #1 could be fun.
Black Widow and Hawkeye #1 (Artgerm Black Widow Variant)
Black Widow and Hawkeye #1 (Mark Brooks Headshot Variant)
Black Widow and Hawkeye #1 (Adam Hughes Variant)
Miles Morales Spider-Man #18 celebrates the 300th issue of Miles as Spider-Man. There’s already a 2nd printing as well.. Marvel pulling a BOOM! it seems… Miles Morales Spider-Man #18 (Tbd Artist 2nd Printing Variant)
Miles Morales Spider-Man #18 (Mr Garcin Variant)
Miles Morales Spider-Man #18 (David Marquez Variant)
Miles Morales Spider-Man #18 (Adi Granov Variant)
Miles Morales Spider-Man #18 (Iban Coello What if Variant)
Miles Morales Spider-Man #18 (Insignia Variant) – I’m a sucker for these simple logo type variants. The all black cover is gonna make finding a minty fresh 9.8+ hard to find.
Longtime fan of Spider-Man 2099 so Symbiote Spider-Man 2099 #1 (of 5) has my attention. Hope the writing is good to make it worthy!

Symbiote Spider-Man 2099 #1 (of 5) (Retailer 100 Copy Incentive Variant) Land Virg V
Vengeance of the Moon Knight #3 if you haven’t been paying attention clearly indicates and hints there’s someone else as Moon Knight, not Marc Spector. So this series is a must I think for any Moon Knight fan.
Vengeance of the Moon Knight #3 (David Paratore Variant)
Vengeance of Moon Knight #4 is also in this months Previews. Really digging the regular cover art for this series so far. The Finch cover for Vengeance of the Moon Knight #2 is absolutely amazing!
Vengeance of Moon Knight #4 (Jonas Scharf Variant)
Vengeance of Moon Knight #4 (Alexander Lozano Variant)
Vengeance of Moon Knight #4 (Elizabeth Torque Vampire Variant)
That’s all I got. Lots of other issues coming out from Marvel from January Previews but none really stand out. I’m sure there might be a few surprises here and there but most of them look like ongoing reader books.
