The Top 10

1 The Ghost Fleet #1
This book is still out there for cheap if you’re willing to dig! You’ve likely never heard of it until it was optioned for the big screen, thanks to Grey Skies. That tidbit of news lit an inferno under this book that’s still raging. Written by Donny Cates with art by Daniel Warren Johnson—before either became household names—this early collaboration is now getting a second look. Two dudes, a conspiracy, transporting cargo under a lot of pressure… it just sounds like the shot in the arm Hollywood is looking for. Naturally, the market is happy to oblige those willing to part with their copies. We tracked 14 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 501%, with a high sale of $28 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $4.

2 Street Fighter #1
Fans got a reminder that a Street Fighter movie is still a thing. It was announced last week that 50 Cent, AKA Curtis Jackson, would be adding his acting prowess to the film, playing Balrog. As the official comic adaptation of the series, it’s not surprising to see this book encounter some extra heat. Another book falls into the trend we’ve seen develop over the years. We tracked 28 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 78%, with a high sale of $156 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current raw VF FMV of $8.

3 VeeFriends #3 – Sealed Collector Pack (Limited 3000)
Gary Vee sure does know how to market stuff. He’s a wizard at hitting the market with cool collectibles with a gimmick. Limited, random packs, all the good stuff. With this release, it’s a sealed collector pack that looks like a pack of TCG! Limited to 3000 and only available for those who had secured an NFT through prior VeeFriends purchases, and limited to one per person at $24.99. Of course, the aftermarket is littered with them now for considerably more. But, for those who wanted to avoid the extra steps, it was a way to secure one in the end. We tracked 14 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 100%, with a high sale of $75 for a NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $53.

4 Superman: A Friendship Unleashed #1 – Travis Mercer & Andrew Dalhouse – Milk-Bone Giveaway (Limited 3000)
By the time the majority heard about this promotion, it was long sold out. Having to buy a box of Milk-Bone dog treats to secure a copy just added to the fun, however, reminiscent of days gone by when mail-away promotions were a regular thing in the comic book world. This book was on fire when the wider community caught wind of it. It calmed down considerably, but then the graded copies started hitting the market in force. Superman is less than a month away, and with Krypto playing a large role in the film, if teasers are anything to go off of, it’s played a big part in why this book has so much interest. We tracked 21 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 15%, with a high sale of $275 for a CGC 9.2 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $53.

5 Summer Of Superman Special #1 – Alexander Lozano
It’s the Summer of Superman! Of course, with the release of Superman, the hype for Supergirl, and the wedding of John Henry Irons (Steel) to Lana Lang, this book was bound to see some hype. But it’s been beyond sustained at this point, as this book has been hanging around. It’s a favorite cover out of the run, with many fans looking at it as a sneak peek at what’s to come. Pricing has grown pretty stable for this book, and it’s still trading hands at a good clip two months after release! We tracked 24 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 49%, with a high sale of $59 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $18.

6 Ultimate Spider-Man #16 – Michael Walsh – 2nd Print – Virgin (1:25)
The suit is immaculate, but it’s not Peter under there this time! Yes, it’s his son, Richard, in his first cover appearance as Spider-Man. When fans caught wind of this book, it was off to the races for the initial release. A 2nd print was a no-brainer, but a 1:25 ratio was tough for many to tolerate. The market is a little more limited on this one, as it usually is for variant versions of popular covers. We tracked eight copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 15%, with a high sale of $70 for a NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $55.

7 The Amazing Spider-Man #129 – Gil Kane – Regular
The first appearance of the Punisher will always be a coveted key. But, since Jon Bernthal stepped into the role on Netflix and later Disney, it became a whole lot more so. With his return to the Daredevil title and the announcement he would be appearing down the line in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, it’s obvious the Punisher isn’t going anywhere. It will be interesting to see how that plays out, but when the news hit of the bigger picture, many opted to pull the trigger and secure a copy before it could climb any higher. We tracked 25 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 4%, with a high sale of $14,400 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $967.

8 West Coast Avengers #7 – Eduard Petrovich – Regular
Jeff the Land Shark is the mascot of Marvel Rivals, and since the debut of that game, he has seen an absolutely insane rise in popularity. We’ve also gotten a new limited series for the little guy lately, but nothing beats the original. This book marks his first appearance and reportedly saw a low print run of under 20,000 copies. That makes it a difficult book to track down, not even a decade later, and with his surge in popularity, a pricey one. We tracked nine copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 10%, with a high sale of $515 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $129.

9 Mister Miracle #4
With Mister Miracle receiving an animated series aimed at adults, we were bound to see some of the ensembles see a little aftermarket heat. This book marks the first appearance of Big Barda, a love interest of Mister Miracle. The fan casts for Big Barda are already flooding the internet, with a subset of fans after her first comic appearance, before any more news reaches the internet. We tracked 13 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 36%, with a high sale of $141 for a CGC 8.5 copy and a current raw FN FMV of $59.

10 Mister Miracle #1
Mister Miracle has a bit of a convoluted past, and it gets its origins mostly in this book. It’s the first appearance of Thaddeus Brown, a fella in the circus and the original Mister Miracle. Then, Scott Free shows up, Brown kicks the bucket and snags the mantle of Mister Miracle. He happens to be the son of Highfather and a whole lot more than a normal circus performer. But with the announcement that Mister Miracle would be getting the DC animated series treatment, fans were quick to secure this book. We tracked 18 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 5%, with a high sale of $400 for a CGC 9.2 copy and a current raw VG FMV of $49.
