THE TOP 10

1 Marvel/DC: Deadpool/Batman #1 – Ryan Stegman – Homage (On eBay)
The crossover of the year is here! Kicking off the Marvel/DC event is Deadpool and Batman. These two heroes couldn’t be any more different, which makes for a great crossover one-shot. There are dozens of covers released for this issue but it looks like the top variant this week goes to this Stegman INCREDIBLE HULK #340 homage. It’s a perfect homage to represent two titans of the comic industry. It also features the first appearance of a mash-up between Wolverine and Lobo, called Logo. Fans took little time to drive up the demand for this hot cover! We tracked 211 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 294% with a high sale of $39 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $33.

2 Nightwing #130 – Kevin Wada – Pumpkin Spicy (On eBay)
While Batman and Deadpool go toe-to-toe in their new crossover, Dick is taking a different approach to “hot” covers. We’re diving into Pumpkin Spice season, and what better way to drive that point home than with a Pumpkin Spicy variant from Kevin Wada! In a field primarily dominated by sexy heroines flaunting their Halloween threads, Wada certainly understood the thirst trap assignment, wrapped up in a spicy bow. It was enough to catch collectors’ attention, and they were quick to pick up the cover that had nothing to do with the “growth as a mentor” aspect within the book. ‘Tis the season! We tracked 25 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 498% with a high sale of $40 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $35

3 Marvel/DC: Deadpool/Batman #1 – Russell Dauterman – Homage (On eBay)
When Marvel and DC come together, the variants are bound to be numerous and outstanding. Deadpool and Batman take center stage once more, with this INFINITY GAUNTLET #1 homage by Dauterman. While most covers feature only Deadpool and Batman, this book actually contains a few crossover stories. This is the only cover to showcase nearly all of the characters featured in the short stories of this book. Only one notable character is missing from the cover, the character who actually makes their debut in this issue, Logo. This book is the first appearance of a mash-up between Wolverine and Lobo, named Logo! Both the homage and first appearance really brought this book to the spotlight! We tracked 120 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 238% with a high sale of $35 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $31.

4 Amazing Spider-Man #1 – Randy Gallegos – Disney Store – Magic The Gathering – Amazing Fantasy #15 Homage (On eBay)
There are so many good things going for this book! Last week, Disney marked the Magic collaboration with a cool event at four Disney stores, mostly in the US (one being in London). As part of that celebration, those who attended were able to snag a few freebies while supplies lasted, with this book being one of them! The Magic the Gathering: Spider-Man set is releasing this Friday, and promo events were the talk of the town last week! It was announced that a select set of retailers would have launch events where attendees could purchase products before the release date. These events were stacked with guest appearances and special promotional items. The four locations selected were: New York, Florida, California and London. On their promotional site, it looks like only New York and London were giving out these comic book promotions. Not every promotion event had the same promotional materials. These books hit the aftermarket extremely quickly. The limited release, the exclusivity, the homage to AMAZING FANTASY #15 and the hype leading up to the MTG crossover… this book became a top grab in no time! We tracked 17 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 100% with a high sale of $260 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $227.

5 Marvel/DC: Deadpool/Batman #1 – Insignia Mashup (On eBay)
Logos go a long way in conveying a message. This is the last book to hit our Top Ten from all the variant covers for DEADPOOL/BATMAN #1. Our Runner-Ups have a few more covers but it looks like fans have spoken, the logo mash-up is a favorite! Marvel and DC have hyped up this crossover event and the amount of covers that are releasing can be overwhelming. In the mix of all those amazing artists, it looks like fans were looking for a simple cover. This book hits that target. It mashes together two famous logos and is a commemorative reminder of this year’s crossover. We tracked 111 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 147% with a high sale of $19 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $10.

6 Amazing Spider-Man #1 – Ryan Pancoast – Magic The Gathering (On eBay)
This is an interesting book to cover. First, Ryan Pancoast may not be a household name in the comic community, but he is in the Magic community. Known for his stellar oil paintings for Magic: The Gathering, Pancoast lent his talents to this killer variant cover! Second, as the official release date of Magic: The Gathering: Spider-Man arrives this Friday, many fans were stoked to see this book on the aftermarket. It is a one-per-store variant, but it wasn’t sent to comic shops. Instead, it looks like this comic book was sent to local gaming stores that are part of the WizKids Play Network (WPN), to use as the main prize of a Spider-Man: The Last Stand event. The event is supposed to be scheduled for Nov. 1-9, but it has already hit the aftermarket! It will be interesting to see if more books make it online, as it is a clear violation of WPN promotional policies surrounding the use of this exclusive. Will more retailers put it up for sale, seeing the high demand and price point? Or will we see an influx of these books during the set date for the tournament event? Only time will tell! We tracked 13 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 100% with a high sale of $200 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $132.

7 Harley Quinn X Elvira #1 – Sveta Shubina – Beyond Wednesdays – Dave Stevens Homage (Limited 400) (On eBay)
Harley Quinn has already dabbled in the Scooby Doo universe, so why not Elvira’s? Homages are the name of the game this week! The sexy Elvira and Harley Quinn share the stage on the latest homage cover to hit our Top Ten. Inspired by ELVIRA’S HOUSE OF MYSTERY #11, this Dave Stevens homage is a great collector’s item, yet another featured crossover. Next Wednesday will be the debut of the crossover set to rival the grand Marvel/DC event… well, maybe. If there were two ladies who could do that, it would be Harley and Elvira. This cover has also gotten lots of attention thanks to the growing popularity of artist Sveta Shubina, who has grown a following with her PINUPOCALYPSE covers! We tracked 11 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 100% with a high sale of $100 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $65.

8 The Curse Of Sherlee Johnson#3 – Frank Miller & Todd McFarlane – B&W (1:25) (On eBay)
When the CURSE OF SHERLEE JOHNSON was announced, Spawn fans knew something big was coming. The resurrection of a nearly 30 year old storyline was bound to lead to an intriguing outcome. Now, lo and behold, the recently released 3rd issue has introduced a new Hellspawn! The future of this hellspawn is currently unknown but it is one of the biggest reveals to come out of this series so far. In addition to the key status, this retailer incentive is a gnarly cover. On top of a new Hellspawn, we also see Frank Miller going wild on the cover. The black and white style really let Miller and McFarlane go crazy with the gore. It is probably the bloodiest cover to release this past week! We tracked 12 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 8% with a high sale of $110 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $97.

9 Marvel Zombies: Red Band #1 – Ryan Brown (1:25) (On eBay)
Speaking of gnarly covers, Marvel is also throwing their hat in. Building off of the hype of the Marvel Zombies Disney+ trailer, a new series kicks off. The red band banner was used to advertise this new series, as an experience with the Marvel Zombies universe that pushes the limits unlike they have done before. The 5-part mini-series kicks off with the Fantastic Four, setting the stage for a new era of Marvel Zombies. The 1:25 retailer incentive struck a chord with fans, making it the top seller of the covers on this issue! We tracked 34 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 100% with a high sale of $49 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $36.

10 The Bat-Man: Second Knight #1 – Jorge Fornes (1:25) (On eBay)
1940s era Batman with a modern-ish twist? Oh, heck yeah! Fans were eager to dive back into this world of a bygone era of Batman. And that they did! The Hangman, a Scarecrow associate, makes his first appearance in this new Batman series. Batman has had many new series hit our Top Ten this past year; featuring covers from: ABSOLUTE BATMAN, IMMORTAL BATMAN, and BATMAN: DARK PATTERNS. This is the latest in the Dark Knight’s dominance, as Fornes showcases a stellar art piece. There was tons of hype behind this retailer incentive cover, when Fornes revealed his artwork back in June. Two months later, this cover became a must-have for Batman and Fornes fans alike! We tracked 19 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 57% with a high sale of $50 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $42.
