The Top Ten
1 Lost Fantasy #5 – Maxi Dallo – Regular
LOST FANTASY has been growing in popularity, and the aftermarket is reflecting the demand! Issue #9 came out two weeks ago, and it kicked off a new story arc in the series, a perfect jumping-on point for new readers. This issue is a key issue of the series, introducing a new character, Edge, as well as being the first cover appearance of the character. That isn’t the only content this issue contains. It also includes a preview of a new Image series, set in the LOST FANTASY world, FIREBORN. The first issue of FIREBORN was also released two weeks ago. The LOST FANTASY world is growing fast, and fans are on the hunt! We tracked 19 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 429% with a high sale of $30 for an NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $.
2 The Pulse #13
Daredevil: Born Again’s second season really took the series to another level. The reviews of the series have drastically improved over the previous season. Additionally, the return of the Defenders (from the Netflix series) has also generated a ton of hype. Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) made her return in the last episode of the series. However, what made this book pop off was the reveal that Jones has already had her child! It is a brief cameo, but it is used as a catalyst for Jones teaming up with Daredevil for a warehouse takedown. That brief cameo was also enough to send the aftermarket wild! We tracked 6 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 264% with a high sale of $50 for an NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $3.
3 Devil’s Reign #6 – Dan Panosian – Spoiler
Daredevil: Born Again is getting ready to wrap up its second season, and rumors are flying! The series leads straight into the Punisher special presentation and then into Spider-Man: Brand New Day. There are a lot of repercussions that the MCU’s New York City will experience in the last two episodes. Set photos were recently leaked that revealed the return of Mike Colter as Luke Cage. More importantly, Luke Cage is seen in his mayoral outfit from the comics. It is being speculated that the series will end with Fisk leaving his mayoral position and being replaced by Luke Cage. If this is true, expect another big boom for this cover! We tracked 9 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 393% with a high sale of $26 for an NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $24.
4 Lost Fantasy #1 – Luca Casalanguida – Regular
LOST FANTASY is blowing up on the aftermarket. It started with a few select issues and covers. Now that fans have read up more on the story, they are backtracking through the aftermarket to find earlier copies of the series. The series just started a new story arc with issue #9, but some fans want to start reading at the very beginning. This book is still very affordable for a Top Ten book, so they’ve been moving fast on the aftermarket! We tracked 11 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 339% with a high sale of $25 for an NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $5.
5 Lost Fantasy #6 – Amilcar Pinna
As the hype for LOST FANTASY continues to grow, fans are finding their favorite characters in the series. The character that has garnered a lot of interest has been Bombshell, featured on this cover. This issue marks her first appearance and her first cover appearance. In fact, Bombshell’s issue #9 variant cover is what kicked off interest in LOST FANTASY. As more fans jump on board, Bombshell covers are likely to be a top chase for collectors! We tracked 6 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 166% with a high sale of $25 for an NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $5.
6 Lost Fantasy #9 – Katt Blanchette
Katt Blanchette spared no time in illustrating a bombshell of a cover! (pun intended) This cover is the first published comic cover artwork for Blanchette. It immediately took off, sold out at the distributor level, and then went crazy on the aftermarket. The character, Bombshell, also gained a ton of popularity. This issue marks the first issue of a brand new story arc, and this variant cover kicked it off with a bang. Congrats to Blanchette on her first published cover, and we hope to see more covers soon! We tracked 28 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 53% with a high sale of $35 for an NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $25.
7 Daredevil Vol 1 #181
Bullseye made an insane comeback in the 4th episode of Daredevil: Born Again’s season 2. Bullseye had been lightly featured in the previous episodes of the series. However, the fourth episode opened with an explosively violent display of Bullseye’s skills. It was a mind-blowing scene that received praise all over social media. Fans were excited to see more of Bullseye in future installments. In a recent interview, showrunner Dario Scardapane replied to a question of bringing back Elektra and Colleen Wing by saying their return would be very “Frank Miller-esque”. There’s no better Frank Miller comic featuring Bullseye and Elektra than this one! We tracked 45 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 28% with a high sale of $225 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $26.
8 Daredevil Vol 1 #184 – Direct Edition
Speaking of “Frank Miller-esque”, this is another great example of a Frank Miller cover. Daredevil: Born Again is wrapping up its second season, and the mentions of The Punisher have been increasing. Charlie Cox recently commented on social media that Frank Castle would not be returning for the finale of the season. Still, fans are hoping that it is a lie to build up hype for a Daredevil/Punisher team-up. If it doesn’t end up happening in the Daredevil: Born Again series, we’re likely to see something in The Punisher: One Last Kill or even the highly speculated team-up in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Either way, this book is a safe bet! We tracked 11 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 94% with a high sale of $133 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $24.
9 Sonic The Hedgehog #86 – Nathalie Fourdraine – Cover RI (1:15)
Nathalie Fourdraine is arguably the most sought-after modern-day Sonic cover artist. Fourdraine’s covers have always been a highly desirable cover to collect and do extremely well on the aftermarket. This cover features Belle and a brand new character, Sage, in a surreal and calm moment. The issue itself is about freeing prisoners, survival, and an ultimate battle with Dr. Eggman and a corrupted Metal Sonic. The incentive cover is a nice contrast to the story and a fantastic cover to add to Sage collectors! We tracked 9 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 48% with a high sale of $40 for an NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $28.
10 Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge – Echoes Of The Empire #1 – John Giang (1:25)
The five-issue limited series has kicked off with a bang! This series is tied back to the first GALAXY’S EDGE comic series that was released when the Disney World attraction first opened in Orlando, FL. The first issue has a lot of great covers, but the fans took to the aftermarket to let us know which was the top cover to collect. This 1:25 retailer incentive cover was the top choice, with phenomenal artwork by John Giang. The sales are strong with this one! We tracked 12 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 39% with a high sale of $44 for an NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $40.
