RUNNERS UP
11 Absolute Batman Ark-M Special #1 – Joshua Hixson – Regular
The debut of Deathstroke and his army of Robins has been a major plot point in the most recent arc for ABSOLUTE BATMAN. Not only that, the event has led to a resurgence in ABSOLUTE BATMAN sales. The storyline has picked up, and fans have been hunting the aftermarket for early and key issues of the series. This issue has been getting a lot of attention, as it is the first full appearance of Absolute Deathstroke. Seeing that the character is playing a prominent role as the main antagonist of the Absolute Dark Knight, this issue has a lot of significance for ABSOLUTE universe collectors. We tracked 15 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 5% with a high sale of $55 for a Graded 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $15.
12 Mark Spears Monsters #10 – Mark Spears – Fangirl Spot Foil (1:50)
This cover hit the shelves, and it immediately started trending. The Mark Spears Monsters’ fangirl is center stage and isn’t holding back much. Spears brings his A-game to this 1:50 spot foil variant. The fangirl vampire struck a chord with collectors as they all wanted to ensure this cover goes into their collection. The 1:50 ratio cover also makes it much more desirable, as it is a rarer and harder-to-find issue. Combine the rarity and Mark Spears’ popularity, and you’ve got a winner of a cover! We tracked 14 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 11% with a high sale of $130 for a NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $101.
13 Ben 10 #1 – Robert Carey – Regular
Nostalgia is still proving to be a powerful force for this debut issue. Ben 10 was a massive franchise for an entire generation, and collectors were more than ready to revisit the property through its first ongoing comic series. Dynamite tapped into that demand at the right time, with numerous variants and limited print runs helping fuel collector interest. While the title may have flown slightly under the radar with some LCS orders, aftermarket demand continues to remain strong weeks later. We tracked 32 copies sold, with a high sale of $20 for an NM+ raw copy and a current NM FMV of $11.
14 A Quiet Place: Storm Warning #3 – Rahzzah – Cover RI – Virgin (1:15)
Rahzzah has put out amazing comic book covers, and this one is sure to be looked back upon as one of his best. The 1:15 retailer incentive perfectly captures the horror and fear of having to survive in a world like that of A Quiet Place. The position of the human at the bottom and the large, imposing creature at the top is a great use of perspective. It puts the reader right there, under the water. Many found this cover captivating, enough that sales soared during its first week of release! We tracked 6 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 9% with a high sale of $30 for a NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $25.
15 The Hab #2 – Flops (1:20)
There is so much going on in this cover. It is exactly what you would expect from a FLOPS! cover. The 1:20 retailer incentive began to trend on the aftermarket. It is a wildly trippy photo. At first glance, the cover looks very sexual, almost intimate… but then you take a second look. There are body parts where there shouldn’t be, skin melting into other pieces of flesh, random eyeballs embedded in appendages… as we said, it’s a lot. This creepy body horror cover is exactly what fans love, and it reflects on the aftermarket sales! We tracked 11 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 8% with a high sale of $55 for a NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $38.
16 Absolute Batman #1 – Nick Dragotta – Regular
ABSOLUTE BATMAN is heralded as one of the main reasons the Absolute Universe became so successful. The Absolute Universe kicked off with the Dark Knight, followed by Wonder Woman and Superman. While the latter did well, the ABSOLUTE BATMAN series was on another level. The series has frequently hit our Top Ten and Runner-Up lists, nearly featured every month since the series began in 2024. Fans cannot get enough of the series and, as new events occur in the latest issues, the earlier issues are hot collector items. The first issue of the ABSOLUTE BATMAN series is the most desirable, fetching a high price and still moving quickly on the aftermarket. We tracked 39 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 10% with a high sale of $350 for a Graded 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $187.
18 Spider-Man Noir #1 – Patrick Zircher – Regular
Amazon Prime’s Spider-Noir released last week, and it was a huge hit. While other Amazon Prime shows tend to release on a week-to-week schedule, this one dropped all the episodes at once. Fans binged the series and had nothing but positive remarks to say about the show. This first appearance of Spider-Man Noir was already trending before the show debuted. The trailers were enough to build up hype. Now that the show is out, this book continues to trend thanks to the stellar performance of Nicholas Cage and the rest of the cast! We tracked 20 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 5% with a high sale of $675 for a Graded 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $294.
19 Spawn #1 – Todd McFarlane – Direct
There’s always a new piece of information that gets Spawn fans excited about where we will see the character next! No, this isn’t any new information on the film status. Instead, this new hype comes from McFarlane in a recent podcast interview. In the interview, McFarlane casually refers to Spawn’s appearance in Mortal Kombat while also stating, “I’ve got another one I just made a deal for that we haven’t announced.” This comment suggests we’ll be seeing Spawn in a video game in the near future, which is a great reminder to keep hunting the aftermarket for the first issue of Spawn! We tracked 27 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 11% with a high sale of $110 for a Graded 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $28.
20 Marvel Super-Heroes Secret Wars Vol 1 #8 – Direct
The rumors that fueled sales for this book are wild. If there is any truth to them and you don’t like spoilers, stop reading now. Let’s backtrack a bit… When the first trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day debuted, fans scrutinized it to no end. However, there were a lot of speculations to continue to be made. This past week, a speculator made a big jump. In the trailer, there are several scenes that resemble famous comic book covers of our favorite web-head. One of those scenes is a battle with Boomerang, referencing AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #345. This issue is also the return of Venom and the birth of the Carnage symbiote. Coincidence? Fans don’t think so! What’s even more mindblowing is that test screenings have led to leaks, and this is a major one… According to leakers, the conclusion of the film leads to Peter Parker’s death. While not dead for long, Parker is supposedly revived/saved by none other than the Venom symbiote left behind in No Way Home. Is this true? Who knows… but man, what a ton of hype it is building! We tracked 35 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 4% with a high sale of $549 for a Graded 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $169.
