In celebration of the FDNY’s 150th anniversary, the FDNY Foundation and ReedPOP have partnered with Marvel on these unique FDNY Fire and EMS helmet designs exemplifying and honoring the values of New York City’s true heroes. We had a display in NYCC Artist Alley featuring all the helmets throughout the weekend and are auctioning off these remaining helmets via our ReedPOP Supply Co. eBay account.
At New York Comic Con, the FDNY and Marvel debuted an exclusive selection of fire helmet designs created by some of the world’s greatest comic book artists including Joe Quesada, Kaare Andrews, Walt Simonson and others. Some of those helmets were auctioned last Saturday to raise money for the FDNY Foundation – the official non-profit organization of the New York City Fire Department.
Today, at 3:00 EDT, the six remaining helmets will be auctioned through the ReedPOP Supply Co. eBay account. The helmets, featuring designs inspired by Captain America, Iron Man, Daredevil, and Jessica Jones, will be available for bidding until October 24, 11:59 PM EDT.
100% of the proceeds from this auction are given to the FDNY Foundation.
The FDNY Foundation is the official non-profit organization of the New York City Fire Department, allowing the FDNY to use donations from concerned businesses, foundations and individuals to promote awareness and outreach to the public, training and support of members of the FDNY and enhanced technology and equipment to better protect all who live, work and visit New York City every year.
